What people crying "the new talents for my class suck" have to understand is that it's not:Old talents -> New talents. It's more like:Old talents -> Base class abilities + Spec abilities + new talents. The old talents have been separated, if you want to compare it to the old trees it gives something like that: I can pick my frost mage dps and core talents which every frost mage picks anyway when I choose to be frost spec at lvl 10. (Those talents will be learned passively while leveling) + Even though I am a frost mage, I can pick between all the old gimmick talents from every mage spec + some new ones. A good change overall imo.

People do realise that most of the passives and abilities that are in the current talent trees are still going to be there as passives, right? This is just giving some awesome specialisation options that, from what I can see, are going to give great options. Don't be so reactionary. It's a big change, and we'll probably miss the old talents at times, but it's looking good.
I am the lucid dream

Disrupting Shout and Shockwave in 5's is going to be ridiculous as fuck. Good luck to all casters next expac in 5's.

pve wise i see there being cookie cutter builds, but for pvp this new talent system is pretty amazing lots of possibilities
6 talents and some of them have absolutly NOTHING to do with the spec and they way you play. Just horrible.
Example - how do forced tank/pvp talent improve PVE healing paladin ?
Answer... it doesnt. Talking about POINTLESS talents - BLizzard have just created much much more of them. Sounds absolutly horrible.

Did anyone see any new talents for enhancement shaman in the pics? I seen nothing. Oh well, maybe they have other plans for the spec. Maybe they will introduce rockbiter 2.0, we all know how good 1.0 was. LoL WoW.
The completly changed the talent trees and everyone had to learn how to play their class over in Cataclysm. Well, now you get to learn it all over AGAIN. This is how they make their expansion's NEW........ feeling like.
Anybody notice the second to last Shaman talents (lvl 75) Echo of the Elements is Elemental's current mastery? Looks like that's changing too....
A lot of these seem very utility based, cookie cutter might exist, but be much vaguer than normal. Like 3 different speed increases, but they all act differently and each would work better in different scenarios.
Once we gathered friends together, drank a ton of Mountain Dew and beer, and role played with paper, pencils, and books.
Now I log onto MMOs with the same people and we only talk about how hard we PWNed that: Noob, boss, etc.
I hate modern gaming....
Anyone else getting a rift feel from this new system?
Mage's Greater Invisibility seems retarded. :/
i think i am just confused with the whole talent system but maybe i am just in dum dum mod cause i am doped up on cough medicine so maybe i will just have to find the panel video on this to understand it better lol cause right now i dont understand it at all lol.
Whatever provides the highest possible damage will be the cookie cutters, just like we have today. There will always be a cookie cutter build unless somehow specs vary from maximum possible damage for whatever reason(s) that make it that way.
Where the hell is all the useful talents for enhancement shaman?! The only useful one is Nature's Swiftness but everything else seems pointless...
Seems like they are adding a lot of utility to classes across the board in order to balance pvp (every class seems to have something to get out of snares, more cc, more aoe cc, etc). Lets hope mages don't rape pvp again.
Picking shadowstep -or- preparation? Seems like rogues won't be my favourite pvp class anymore.
