    DVI question

    I just ordered https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Comp...roductId=44469

It has "2x Dual-Link DVI-I & 1x mini-HDMI 1.4a" I currently only have a vga screen, and the 560ti doesn't come with an adapter, would either of these be suitable?

    or http://www.scan.co.uk/products/icidu...-converter-v38

I believe http://www.scan.co.uk/products/icidu...-converter-v38 is the better option because it doesn't lengthen the cable like the other one does.
Most cables lose information the longer they have to travel, with the small adaptor you minimise this extra length.

I could be completely wrong though

Either will work, First option is just the adapter with 2m of extra cable.

    Here we go http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Cable...productId=7022

"The is required when you have a graphics card with only DVI outputs but your monitor has only standard VGA (15Pin) Analogue connector." This sounds about right

Well there are limits to the total length of cable information can travel across without degrading, and it depends on the bandwidth of the information, the strength of the signal source, and the quality of the cable. An extra 2 meters from the adapter is probably not going to make a difference unless his cable is already like 7-8 meters long, which is unlikely as most that come with other equipment (like a monitor) are at most 2m.

Would buy the one with 2m cable if your monitor has completely detachable cable. Then you could use just one cable between computer and monitor without any extra connections. If your monitor does not have detachable cable, then get the smaller adapter dongle.

Basically you want the least amount of connections and shortest possible cable to get best possible picture quality.
