    [Bio] Miltharion "Shadowwatcher"

This is my first Bio so feel free to leave comments and suggestions below.
**Update: Added Prologue and fixed different stuff in order to go along with the Prologue**

    Name: Miltharion "Shadowwatcher"
    Age: 102
    Race: Blood Elf
    Gender: Male
Class: Mage, but knows some basic combat skills of rogues

Languages: Thalassian, Common (a little, but has forgotten most), and in the process of learning Orcish, along with Gutterspeak

Personality: Miltharion is a very intelligent elf who loves to study magic and other things that might make him a more well rounded elf. Though Miltharion is smart, he does have alot of rage, from the lose of his mother at an early age and the fact that the humans sent his father into an orc ambush and expected them to die. But Miltharion is able to channel his anger and other feelings into his magic which he could use to enhance his powers on the battlefield.

Likes/Dislikes: Miltharion loves learning about new things. He is also is like any other mage, in that he likes to take the any chance he can to improve his magical skills whenever he can. A few things that really hit Miltharion in the wrong place are orcs, most trolls (though Darkspear maybe the only exception to that), humans and most of all GNOMES!!!!!

Appearance: Miltharion's style is mostly based on light moveable cloth that allow him to worry less about getting tired from moving around alot and move about his magical skills in combat. His hair is long and white but most of the time it is in a ponytail. Miltharion can be seen with his staff in his right hand and a backpack over his left shoulder.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Miltharion is at his best when in places that allow him to easily dodge most incoming attacks by teleporting or when he is able to use his surroundings to his advantage. Even though Miltharion has only one eye his magic fills in for were his senses fail and give him the ability to see not only fully in front of him but behind and to the side of himself too. Milharion's weakness is in close combat when he has to fight someone that is more physically stronger then him or even having to fight some where he can't move around easily. Also if a spell caster is strong enough they maybe able to block Miltharion's magic from sensing were they are at and has to rely on his one eye.

    History:

    [Prologue]
Miltharion’s parents were Minalia and Amridion. Minalia, a mage, was an instructor to new young mages and was in herself a quiet powerful mage. Miltharion’s father, Amridion was a spell breaker who job was to guard Quel’Thalas, and was often sent on assignments that would not allow him to return home for many months and sometimes years.

Miltharion growing up as an only child to a mage instructor meant that he started his magic training much earlier then most kids and was taught that learning is one of the most important tools you can have in the world. When it came to Miltharion’s magic he was very good at wielding it and being a strategic thinker, there was no doubt that Miltharion would become not only a great mage, but a great general too.

When it came time for Miltharion to “official” begin his mage training. he had already mastered spells that the other young elf mages wouldn’t even begin to learn for many years. Miltharion spent his free time reading books about ancient magic of the Highbourne. Soon Miltharion was actually impressing his teachers, by surpassing their own knowledge in ancient magic, though Miltharion wasn’t able to fully understand some of the spells, he was able to learn some of their magic and to this day usually carries a tomb of Highbourne magic that was given to him by one of his teachers.

During Miltharion’s later years in magic training his mother grew very ill. Sick to the point that even the elfin priest weren’t able to save her. Miltharion was able to, with her agreement, use one of the Highbourne spells to give his mother a slow but painless death so that they might have more time with each other. But eventually she past on, to which Miltharion took this hard, but didn’t show it. Instead he channeled his feelings into his magic training, which he soon completed.

Miltharion wished to join the elfin army like his father in order to protect Quel’Thalas, but his father didn’t want him to put him self in any danger and even went to the point to make sure that he was not allow to join.

Furious at his father because he thought he had crushed his dreams, Miltharion found a position with the mages of Quel’Thalas to study more about their Highbourne ancestors and the magic’s they used. Miltharion remained their studying in till word came that an army of trolls and beings from another world were headed to Quel’Thalas.

Miltharion and the other mages he was studying with, were pulled from their assignments in order to protect their kingdom. But the elves did not have to fight alone their new allies the humans came to back them up and with their help were able to easily push back their attackers. Once Miltharion got a taste for battle he knew that was what he truly wanted to do. But in order to officially join the army he would need to talk his father into letting him join. After many years of not talking his father was glad to speak with his son again and even agreed that now that he was a well trained and battle experienced mage he should join the army of Quel’Thalas.

Soon after Miltharion joined the army of Quel’Thalas he was dispatched with other mages to the human lands in order to repay their debt to them. So many a missions Miltharion went on fighting orc after orc, many suicide missions but each time he came back in till they along with the humans pushed the orcs back to the south. After Miltharion returned to Quel’Thalas, he learned that his father’s fate.

His father was also sent to help the humans and from Miltharion’s experience was able to guess that the humans also sent his father on suicide missions. From what he could gather his father’s squad was to force orcs back, but was caught in an ambush, which turns out the humans knew would happen and only sent them in their to force the orcs out of hiding and then attacked them. Miltharion was told that the elves did in deed return to the site in order to claim the bodies of their fallen brothers, but to their surprise they were no where to be found and no real evidence that the elves were killed at all. Soon after the second war ended, Miltharion joined a group of mages that were in charge of gathering information outside Quel’Thalas and bring it back to the city of Silvermoon.

    [Chapter 1]
Before the scourge invaded Quel'Thalas, Miltharion was to aid passing along information from outside of the elves borders to the main city of Silvermoon. When word had arrived that an evil that which hasn't been seen before has just destroyed the human's capital city and was headed for the Sunwell, Miltharion was re tasked, along with a good deal of the other mages in Quel'Thalas to guard the Sunwell itself on the isle should the evil brake through the defenses at Silvermoon.

Sure enough the evils now known as the scourge not only broke through Silvermoon's defenses but mass murdered 9/10th their population and destoried the city. As Miltharion and the other mages waited for the scourge to assault the isle they noticed the water that was in between the Isle and the main land froze solid with ice. Soon after a dark figure appeared through the fog, followed by the mass of army, but before Miltharion or the other mages could attack they were struck with a sound that not only made then unable to move but sent their bodies flying back, as if they were pushed by a giant.

Miltharion awoke in a tree with a branch in his right eye and blood dripping down his face and to the ground. After finding a priest who was able to stop the bleeding but not restore his sight in that eye, Miltharion did what he could to help the other wounded on the Isle and in Silvermoon it self. Miltharion knew that the Sunwell had been destroyed and could feel the hunger in him starting to grow as it did in most others who survived.

Prince Kael'thas soon set out with some of the surviving army to aid the humans of Dalaran and to try to find a way to fill this hunger that now plagued them all. Miltharion was tasked to stay behind and help protect and rebuild the city of Silvermoon due to his injury. It wasn't that Miltharion felt that he shouldn't have to help rebuild his people and watch over them, but he felt that because of his new weakness he would not be able to return to battle ever again. So as Miltharion helped rebuild the city and recapture some small outpost. But it struck Miltharion that he remember seeing a spell in one of the Highbourne spell books that would be cast on a blind elf in order to give him the ability to see once more, Miltharion not only found the spell but used it on himself.

Miltharion was not only able to see as he did before but also able to see when enemies were behind or to the side of him, which made him very good to have on patrols and also giving him the name "Shadowwatcher". But due to the hunger, that was still growing in him and his now relying on his magic to see, Miltharion's magic was not able to grow stronger and as such he had to reply less on overwhelming his enemy with power and more only turning their own power against them, as skill that Miltharion learned from some rogues that he would work with on patrol. Miltharion also picked up basic combat skills with a dagger which he learned to keep with him at all times.

Soon something arrived from Prince Kael'thas from a far away place he called Outlands. Kael called the creature a Naaru, a being that the Miltharion and the other elves would be able to fill their hunger, but little did he know that what they were filling their hunger with was fel energy that would corrupt them in a way that would be more painful then having the hunger, but because the energy was strong in offered a nomming feeling.

Feeling strong again Miltharion started practicing his magic again in other to fulfill his dream of returning to the battlefield again but this time stronger then ever. Many months had passed when word from the isle came, saying that the Naaru, the same being that they had been feeding off of, was attempting to purify the Sunwell again, but world as arrived that Kael'thas was trying to stop it. It confused Miltharion to hear that his former Prince was trying to use the Sunwell for his own plans, and not to help his people. So when word came that Kael'thas was dead, Miltharion didn't feel and thing for him.

Soon after the Sunwell was pure again and Miltharion no longer needed to feed. Miltharion filled with the pure rays of the Sunwell once more and decided that it was about time for him to set out of a journey that would take him many a far places. But it wasn't in till months later that Miltharion would leave Quel'Thas for the first time in decades. Around this time Miltharion heard rumors that Arthas, the very person that commanded the army many years ago to mass murder his race and destroyed the Silvermoon and the Sunwell, was now dead. This was what really made Miltharion decide that it was time for him to go out and show the world that even though the blood elves were now small in numbers, they were still just as strong as they were before.

Well, I've been RPing on a more elitist community lately, so this might be biased.

Personally, I'd expand on personality. Take those lines you wrote and expand. What made him angry ? What made him learn to control ? You said he likes studying . Expand on it . Was he in a magister family ? A commoner with a knack for conjuring the arcane ?

Hey Pateuvasiliu, Thank you for commenting on my Bio.
I have updated my post with a prologue to better explain his past more and have also updated the personality in order to reflect this better. The reason behind his ability to control his feelings is kinda "Unknown" to him, (maybe something he discovers later on). And as far as the whole Magister or commoner thing, I want to say commoner, but if you read the new prologue it explains his parents' jobs so that may change depending what I learn while reading more about high elf culture.

    Looks legit.

For further notice, here is, in my opinion, my best Character Personality I ever pulled out.

Forsaken, DK, died during Third War, raised as a DK after the Second Scourge Invasion ( pre-wotlk )

Character Personality [Life] : " We're farmers, Charles... we HAVE to be humble and respect the nobles, or they can make our lives living hell. It is not the perfect life, but we make a decent, honest living. "

Human : Born as a farmer, Charles had to learn to endure insults and beatings: the noble boys would occasionaly make mean remarks at how he was "cursed" to forever be a farmer and remain their inferior, their object of laugh. This is one of the reasons Charles wanted to become a wielder of the Light, to show that even a farmer can overcome his pre-destined position...
In reality, he was never worth becoming a disciple of the Light: his wish to wield the Light was selfish... he wanted to show the world he was worth something and preoccupied with satisfying his needs, forgot about how the Light taught its disciples to help others.

Forsaken: " I am beginning to have feelings yet again... As I have recently gained self-control, the intensity of those feelings is faltering...but in time, I will be whole again"

for months, Charles was an empty husk, a mindless servant of the Scourge. After he regained self-conciousness, his memories began reappearing through flashbacks, until he was able to remember the most important aspects of his life.
Death made him appreciate what he had: although a mediocre shadow-conjurer, he embraced his new life, in which he was no longer a peasant.. some looked at him with respect, as the Forsaken praise the Shadow, and he was one of those who could conjure it, and that was enough for him, as even though he wasn't a genius, he felt unique and respected, that which he always strived for.
As a Forsaken, his insocial wall was partialy broken and he gained a sense of dark humour.. he was offered a new chance at life and thus tried to do as much as he could to enjoy it: he tried to help his brethren who couldn't accept undeath and remained loyal to the Banshee Queen until the very end.

Character Personality [Undeath] : "We are the Knights of the Ebon Blade. We fight for one purpose, and one purpose alone. Train, obey and be rewarded. Betray us, and be eliminated. And when the time is right, we shall have revenge. "

When he opened his eyes and saw the walls of Acherus, he was surprised that he lived once more. Surprise only turned to rage as he was forced to fight for his life.
Under the will of the Lich King, Charles felt nothing but hatred for the living and the wish for blood.

However, when the seemingly impenetrable veil which was placed around his former memories was broken, Charles was shocked: he couldn't believe he killed all these people as he remembered their cries for mercy, people who could very well be former residents of Lordaeron, or even worse, old acquaintances from back home.
He entered a deep depression and questioned his role in the progression of the World. In the end, he managed to overcome his grief, encouraged by the other Death Knights that his will was not his own, and thus he could not be held responsible for his actions. He decided that the best way to escape the painful memories was to join the Ebon Blade and thus exact revenge on the Betrayer Prince.

Where one would expect a raging sadist, having been raised in undeath a second time, Charles strikes as quite a humouristic, polite fellow: he chooses his words carefully, as he believes he should carefuly use his second undeath. Some may mock him for not being the ruthless abomination he looks like, but he sees it as a good thing, after all this regaining a little bit of his humanity as, if another Knight falls, he would quietly mourn the loss of his brother, because for him, the Ebon Blade is his new family. Having lived as a humble farmer, he has no problem helping others which need it. Wether this means loyally following orders or training others, Charles will obey, without raising any questions. More than anything, he is glad to be surrounded by brothers in suffering, whom he understands and who understand him: he is no longer that shy peasant who struggled to overcome his pre-destined condition. He has become proud of what he fights for and completely embraced this new, unholy life, seeing the Ebon Blade as the only brotherhood worth joining.

As he feels accepted, Charles is not ashamed of his appearance : even though in the past he wore light clothes, and robes as a forsaken, he now proudly wears his uniform, trying to maintain its good shape, fixing any cracks which may appear during battle and does not hide his unholy visage, unless ordered to. In battle, Charles prefers not rushing in by throwing his best moves on the first attack. As a former Dark cleric, a follower of the shadow, Charles prefers the "magic" part of being a Death Knight: he would rather fight his oponent from afar with powerful incantations and use his sword as a defensive tool to keep his oponent away while the merciless diseases consume his foes, but, if need be and the foe proving a challenge, he would simultaneously strike with both shadow-empowered runeblade slashes and unholy spells at the same time, as to weaken his oponent both from physicaly and psychicaly.

All in all, Charles enjoys his second undeath more than his human life, as now he is free of the bounds that kept imprisoned inside a reality in which he was only a farmer, always fighting to win the respect of others.
