    [Bio] Thedalia Dusktreader

This is a work in progress!

    Name: Thedalia Dusktreader
    Age: 90
    Race: Blood Elf
    Gender: Female
    Class: Researcher

    Languages: Orcish, Thalassian, Common.

Personality: Thedalia is usually very approachable and enjoys making new friends. She much prefers the company of other when she isn't lost in her work. She is very open about most things, although she knows better than to tell just anyone of her occupation as it has gotten her in trouble before. She is very naive, impulsive and gullible, and quite immature. Thedalia often comes off as strange to others. She relies heavily on her sense of smell to inspect not only objects, but also people. She has a handful of other peculiar habits that she sometimes exhibits to strangers, not by intention but simply because she cannot restrain herself. She rarely makes any effort to conceal her emotions or impression about people and her decisions are often motivated by her feelings towards others.

Likes: Thedalia has taken quite a liking to the forsaken seeing how they have helped her with plenty of personal issues previously. She has more forsaken friends that she has elven ones. She also loves books, but she enjoys their scent and the feeling of paper between her fingers far more than she enjoys reading them. Thedalia also has a burning passion for her research naturally. If she is given the opportunity to speak freely about it she will keep talking for hours. She is very fascinated with strange magics and phenomenons, both are things that she is very eager to learn more about and examine in her own ways. She also loves fruit juice.

Dislikes: Thedalia is very frightened of rogues (or 'ghosts' as she calls them). She has been scared and tormented by their kind far too many times for her to be able to relax in their presence. Thedalia has also had a long history of bullies pestering her which has feed a similar fear. She also resents violence and refuses to be taught any form of fighting with much vigor. She is very cautious with the Light, partly because of its effect on her forsaken friends, but also because she believes it burns her as well. Thedalia also seems to have a certain effect on hawkstriders which causes them to react negatively to her presence which has fed a mutual disproval towards each other.

Appearance: Picture. Thedalia is of average height and thinner than usual. Her body shape is more reminiscent to a skinny boy than a woman. She's got broad shoulders and quite large hands. Her red hair is tangled and evidently not tended to very often. She speaks with a bright but somewhat raspy voice. Her smile reveals a handful of crooked teeth in her mouth. Her shapes and body language often causes people to mistake her for a man if they cannot see her face or hear her speak. Her face is not masculine, but not as fair as most other elves. She is often specked with soot and dirt on her skin and clothes due to her work, and it would seem she rarely makes the effort to wash it off.

Strengths: Thedalia has a very vivid imagination and her mind often takes creative turns. While many things she say might be very strange, she does manage to have a few bright moments where she actually comes up with a good idea. She is very open-minded towards other races and carries no prejudice. Thedalia also has a highly developed sense of smell for her kind.

Weaknesses: Thedalia has never been trained to fight, so anyone wishing to cause her harm is very likely to succeed. She is not the brightest of elves, nor is she very brave. She cannot handle her money well which usually leaves her to sleep on the streets wherever she is at the moment. She is easily persuaded and tricked into trouble.

    History:

    To come.

    Research projects/work:

Disclaimer: This section carries no actual facts or support by lore. It is all Thedalia’s imagination.

Gullworms – Gullworms are night living creatures that have so far only been spotted in Eversong Woods. They are hostile towards elves and the forsaken. The creature’s attitude towards other races has not been documented, but they seem to prefer living close to lynxes. Gullworms can walk through walls but they rarely decide to venture inside settlements. In case one would be forced to stay overnight in the wilderness that person would have to rub a special ointment that Thedalia has developed on their hands and cheeks to repel the creatures. Gullworms are red, wormlike creatures with a segmented body. They have one single eye inside their mouth, which is located at the bottom side of their “heads”. Gullworms are capable to supporting their top half above the rest of their body to scan their surroundings. Thedalia has chosen not to waste her time further on the gullworms seeing how they only tried to eat her, but they have never the less earned a special entry in her book of documented research.

Uowom – Uowom is a peculiar form of energy which manifests in specific areas. Uowom cannot be seen by the naked eye unless one manages to isolate the energy in a damp container and put it out in the sunlight. It would cause the energy to emit a slight, purple glow. Uowom does not smell much to anyone but Thedalia who states it carries a slight hint of honey and snow. Despite its abstract existence, Uowom can easily be contained inside any form of box or crate. There isn’t even a need for a lid, unless one decides to hold the crate upside down which results in the energy being poured out. There has yet to be a purpose for Uowom, but Thedalia is collecting as much of the energy as she can come by which she then performs experiments on.

The book – When Thedalia isn’t performing any experiments she usually spends her time writing down her discoveries and ideas in her book which she intends to print in several copies to sell once her research gets acknowledged.

    More to come.
