I'm running an i5 2500 (hey it was a really good price!) so I'm SOL when it comes to overclocking. So if I OC an i7 I could probably get a significant boost. I might need to do that, been meaning to upgrade anyways. Thanks for the comments!
this thread may have some useful information on benchmark scores

    http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/114...-Scores/page16
Some of the comments in that thread and what I've read are a little worrying, that the game is having performance issues on 600 series cards.

    i5-3570k @ 3.4GHz (TurboBoost 3.8GHz) It was boosting to 3.6GHz in CPUz
XFX Double Dissipation Radeon HD 7970 Black edition 3GB @ Core 1000 MHZ and Memory 1425 MHz

    All tests done at 1920x1080
1st: Maximum settings with Occlusion Culling enabled.
2nd: Maximum with OC enabled and Shadow detail turned down to medium
3rd: Funzies at default medium settings
    4th: Default maximum settings

I must say I'm surprised with such a minimal increase with shadows turned down to medium and OC turned on. Although, I expect that to increase greatly in the actual game during dungeons and such.

Edit: Test at maximum with OC enabled and shadows turned down to minimum possible

Thanks for that. It seems the addition of Borderless Windowed has help improve the quality quite a bit.

    Perhaps this will help:

    Magitek Armor Mounts

Yoshi-P mentioned this months ago, but it's good to see it as a reality.

Great. Gushing over the Magitek can make me ignore almost any amount of flaws. This thing better stay in beta until I'm done with school, or the grueling wait for holidays will manifest as physical pain =(

Not bad for a 670GTX. I thought the game would look better though...

The question is: is it just a mount, or can you use ICE BEAM and TEK MISSILE!

  17. #717
Need Vicks (Biggs) and Wedge to teach you to use magitek imo.

The mount better be a drop from "Whelk".

Yoshi-P's stated it's just a mount, but he's planning on "soon after they are released" to using them in storymissions. I would imagine those abilities would be available as well.
