Guilds now shouldn't be focused on gear since it's just a waiting time for 4.3 anyway. I just recruited a few people in full blue gear that had good experience and made a good application. We'll have time to gear them before 4.3. Just be nice, explain about your situation and convince the guild you want to join that you are an awesome player and you should be fine.
