    Probably not as vital as some of the others mentioned, but something which will stand out would be The life of Robert Baden-Powell and the start of the Scout Movement. RBP had a fantastic and interesting life and The Scout Movement has been a part of millions of young people's lives. I'd reccomend having a read if you've got the time.

    This might be slightly after 1900 though...

    War of the Roses for sure. Shakespeare's interpretation of it, especially.

    <-Literature guy. Richard III is my favorite Shakesperean play, with my favorite villain.

    Clearly you need to write about all the Dano-Swedish wars(or one of them). There have been more wars between Denmark and Sweden.
    then the two big enemies England and France. I think it is a fascinating subject, but it is probably a bit boring if you dont think it is interesting.
