I bet they were referencing MoP and 4.3. The business year? Last until the middle of last year or something.
all is well at blizzard.
"Holybuckets May 17, 2010 - 7:36 PM :your 3s team rating is amazing, is there any way you could write something up or make a video from the holy pally perspective? my 3s beast cleave is having a hard time getting past 1600. its really hard to find info on beast cleave."
D12 + Mists sounds more likely in 2012 than Starcraft and only one of the other. As far as players, who cares honestly? Do you enjoy the game any more/less because people you've never met in a country you probably haven't been to stopped playing? Meh.
Most of the subscriptions were lost in China. Most of them couldn't play the next expansion created around an animal that for their religion is holy ? Panda.....
As a tank I'm used to instant queues. But now it takes about 20-30 seconds to find a group. WTFFFFFFFF
I am one of the 1.7 million. After playing since June '05 I am now just tired and bored of WoW. I had fun. I had a good run, but the magic is gone for me.I stopped on many occasions but this one is permanent. If I didn't quite because of me being tired about the game then I would have left when they announced the kung fu panda expansion. For me, SWTOR is my next stop. Thanks Blizzard! Thanks for all the years of great fun!
Um. Catyclysm has been available in China since July of this year. Just to get the facts 100 percent correct. With Wrath of the Lich King, World of Warcraft saw more subscribers than ever before and since. Seems like its the changes FROM WOLTK that caused the subscriber loss...
I quit because the game turned fucking boring for me. MoP not exactly appealing for me to come back either. Loads of replies in this indicate that they are scared of the truth and don't know what to do when this game DOES come to an end. What use is your parents basement when WoW doesn't exist anymore right? What to do? Find a job. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WORK SCARY!!!
Sweet, 800k less and going on. Let's see what they now, expect some new promotions and more nerfbaths. I hope the game crash hard next year, so hard that it would go down to 3 million. The game just became something dull in all perspectives, compared with the Classic era or BC one, where things were done well.
I think a good part of the subscriber loss is to a very slow release time. Cataclysm hit almost 1 year ago, and we've only had 2 raid tiers, after they promised to release more raids per tier and faster tiers. Firelands would still be fun, if they didn't nerf it severely halfway through. Hell, I'm even considering taking a small break from WoW because of this. Nothing else is interesting me currently.
In my Opinion this is a good thing for WoW. There are already to much players around so its ok to lose some weight =P
It's a 7 years old game, it's bound to loose some people every now and then. 10.3M subscribers is still a lot of people playing the game and making it the success it continues to be, financially. Blizzard is not loosing money by any means, so they are good.
