@ Deltrus, Derp yea i ment adj my voltages lol. Atm at 4.4Ghtz +.005 running P95 at 20min increments to check temps/stability before running OCCT gonna go till temps reach above 60/65 or it crashes. At that point i will run OCCT.

And there is no honor in saying i passed 3 tests but failed when running Diablo/Pandora and calling it a stable setup. I will probably run at my final number, hoping for 4.5/4.6, for a few days of regular use after stressing to ensure the stability before I edit/update my post.

AHH yea i see the FoH icon now, says inactive atm. Ty for the tip i never thought to look in my tray.

Eh temps in the 60-65 range are perfectly fine. :P That's pretty good/normal for an H100. :P

If I kill my overclock and return to stock, do you have to remove my entry? :[

No, reason being that you did it, you passed the test. There is no reason to remove it just because you are no longer running it.

I don't believe Cyanotical still has/runs his 990X rig, but I leave it there anyways.

Anyways, it would be a pain in the ass to go around PMing everyone or requiring they post here that they are still using the overclock every few months or something.

See how dumb this sounds now? :P

well, i have a 4.77 clock that is IBT stable, i run 4.6 with offset voltage daily though, but i am working on a by core/parking offset voltage clock:

    6-5 cores: 4.6
    4-3 cores: 4.8
    2 cores: 4.9
    1 cores: 5.0

the problem im having is finding a way to verify the stability of each clock, maybe a blender run might do it, as it can park on specific cores

I having a bit of an issue with getting really any OC to be stable at any voltages offset/fixed and LLC levels. It appears that HW monitor can cause crashes in windows 7. I was about to start looking at my CPU/Mobo/PSU for faults when i went into the event viewer to see my error messages and what was causing the crashes, every time it was HW Monitor. So i suggest not using it. I have not had a crash since i stopped running it.

Also in my scouring the internets for a solution as to why my CPU didnt seem to be able to OC at all i also came across a forum post from someone at ASUS saying that using a Stress test on a Sandy/Sandy-E/Ivy CPU that doesn't run AVX can do dmg to the CPU. They suggest using Aida64 or P95 27.7.1 for stability.

back to my house cleaning day, curse Blizzard for doing maintenance on both D3 and WoW on the same freaking day!!!! I am actually going to be productive today i guess on my day off lol.

Whyyyyyy would you do that? =/

But sure, go ahead and post, but really I don't see a reason for doing that.

To make things run cooler in the summer months of course! It shaves off 10C in both idle and load.

I guess if it really affects your room/CPU/computer in general, then that makes sense.

Though honestly I wish my computer could produce more heat. This basement gets very cold sometimes. It's in the mid-80s F outside, it's likely 50 F down here. Doesn't help I'm in a biggish room.

Wanna swap? I'm always boiling/sweating. Winter, summer makes no difference by my machine.

Do you mean like your computer runs hot or?

I'd be surprised if a Sandy Bridge i7 was running all that hot at a measly 4.2GHz.

    CPU
    - Temp 50-52C at just WoW + Chrome. (idle)
    - Temp 64-66C at standard usage - WoW, Chrome, couple of file transfers and F@H (load)

    GPU
    - Temp 50-52C at Just WoW + Chrome. (idle)
    - Temp 66-70C at standard usage - WoW, Chrome, couple of file transfers and F@H (load)

Basically the reason I dialled it back from 4.8GHz to 4.2GHz.

Bah... neither of those were running that hot, but if your room is warm naturally and what-not, then I could understand the reasoning.

First time overclocking! For some reason when not running IBT it goes immediatly to reading a really low clock, so I have to be fast on the print screen. This was the 3rd run of 10.
