I chose Charr because I'm a Furry. Pretty much the only reason.

I am going to play a Sylvari Elementalist, and that is because I have always LOVED the idea of a wood elf/forest elf. And the Sylvari are plant elves, which is even better They are a beautiful race and I absolutely adore their capital, the Pale Tree.

As a first alt I will make a Guardian, but my choice of race is still left undecided. But I will most certainly make it a Human or a Norn Because I think those are the races that fit my Guardian's story the best.

Plus they remind me of Goblins with the attitudes of Orcs, so it's a bonus fit. :3

Well, my plan was to have a female norn ranger be my main, but I'm having second thoughts and leaning towards an asura guardian now. I need this game to hurry up so I'll stop switching...

BUT, I chose Norn because I love the lore, the whole viking-like race and their way with the spirits.
Asura are just awesome and look so cool in armor and running around with a giant sword on my shoulder seems like something I would enjoy. Plus I've never played the whole "intellectually superior" race in a game.

I chose to main Human Guardian as a direct nod to my GW1 main. Considering Norn for my Warrior alt, though, 'cause I always liked the Norn in GW1 and they're the only alcoholic brawling race left in Tyria (Great Dwarf warm the fallen by the Eternal Forge).

Same, it's sort of weird how charr are a playable race after owning them on my human for so many years in GW1. Asura are like gnomes in that they are tiny and armor won't be as visible which I really won't tolerate in GW because their art team is fucking amazing. I'm either going human or norn.

Eventually I will make one of every race though, the asura do look amazing ^_^ I love their snarky attitude towards everyone being inferior to their intellectual minds.

I generally enjoy playing the more hardened or rugged/rough races so will be between Norn and Charr for me, I can see Charr being quite popular so will most likely choose Norn for my Engi.

Always wanted to play as a Vrykul from WoW. Also, my second character will be a Charr simply because of the badass story surrounding them.
