Michigan hasn't even been in an AP preseason top 25 poll since 2007 outside of this year. I think we can all agree the correct answer is Oklahoma.

Grats South Carolina on a patented Head Ball Coach "We nearly blew the game to an inferior opponent but will still get rewarded in the polls based on my record from 16 years ago" win.

Well, wins rarely drop your ranking, so there's no point in expecting a winning team to lose points. Give em credit for playing a tough in-conference game their first week. Most teams play shit schools the first couple weeks.

You didn't specify any restrictions when you asked.

If we go by Stassen (and their range of 1989-present, comparing final rankings versus expectations), the top five are:

    1) Notre Dame
    2) Oklahoma
    3) Texas
    4) Florida State
    5) Nebraska

    Looks accurate enough to me.

Ya I'd agree with those. Notre Dame is such a joke lol. If Notre Dame wants to ever be relevant again they should join a freaking conference. But nah, lets roll around in NBCs giant money pile which NBC keeps throwing at them because so many people still give a crap about ND.

I don't think you give Vandy enough credit conscript that game went about how I thought it would go. Vandy's Defense is pretty good and they have a really good coach over there. Notre Dame is by far the most overrated team the last 15 years. IDK about Texas they are usually good and if they are not that great they don't get pushed into a NC game like Oklahoma does for some reason. With Nebraska I don't think they are as bad as Notre Dame or Michigan as far as putting them high on the list as soon as they win 5 games straight. When Michigan and Notre Dame are like 7-0 the AP turns on the '30 years ago' thinking cap on and boost them up even if they don't have any quality wins.

MSU blew apart Boise on their first offensive drive and they are devouring them on defense.

MSU has a kicker who can actually kick from outside 25 yards. That is something I haven't been able to say about Michigan in a long time.

Maxwell's terrible under pressure. Boise may not be the better team, but they can make MSU a one-dimensional team by bringing the blitz.

Question: While I'm definitely a fan of BSU and enjoy watching them play, why do teams still seem surprised by all their trick plays?

Ya we may have jinxed this game Marc. And now a late hit by the PUNTER. MSU is kind of falling apart here.

Ya but he deserved a penalty for being fucktarded. Why would a punter push a guy who had cut directly for the sideline lol. Mental error. Hope they stop them here.

that was one ugly half of football

For Boise St. losing so many players from last year, a win on the road against MSU would be a huge statement for their program. Not a great game so far, but a W is a W and all the talk leading up to the game was about MSU going to the Rose Bowl and how BSU was out of their league, so a win would shock many people. I'm kind of hoping for an upset just to see what the pundits say about it.

Boise's defense is looking pretty good if they could handle the run a little better. Offense is obviously rough, but that was what we all expected.

M.State is always like that they win games there not suppose to and the lose games there not suppose to its been that way for the last 20 years it seems. The game isn't over but even if they win its not like the "manhandled" them or anything.

actually they are man handling them. State hs over DOUBLE BSU's yards.
Lippet is at fault for 2 of the turnovers against State.
