Basically press can talk about the game openly without restrictions now.

This really did not need another thread. Just because you want to make a point.

Nice. So, we should hopefully see a wealth of information begin to come out from press members who have been a part of the beta.

derps are still debating if the announcement will be about a legacy system...that thread should be closed as I try and update this one with links I find

This wasn't the big announcement, check Rockjaws twitter, again.

"Boarded for next leg to Atlanta. By the time I land you should have a Friday Update... Later folks."

ok so wtf...that leaves open only a full NDA lift or something else. Very odd

Legacy is really going to be my best bet, how ever I can't really state why I think it will be.

    Gamespy and its article......

Upset that you can't change PC voice acting?
    Lack luster character creation?

I can feel decisions without any consequences, but I also understand the reason it was done (fluid nature of MMO's almost ensures that certain companions will be the preferred companion during certain patches, ect).

Voice Acting gets tiresome.. Ehh. I can see it, but Its never been an issue for me.

Flashpoint issue has worried me, but I don't give a rats ass about other peoples opinion on that. They can wait or leave. At least until I can see it twice.

There's not telling what it is. SR said today's announcement would be interesting. Interesting doesn't mean it would something big.

Interesting would be the ability to romance your droid companions. It could be anything.

Don't like voice acting? Mash space bar.

    Problem solved.

that GS article is derpd, especially about difficulty, it definitely ramps up 30+, and Flashpoints are no different.

While it's nice to see press coverage about space combat, it sucks that there really was little to no information about it that wasn't already known. Also, the title is a little misleading.

This article makes me so sad. Not that there's anything wrong with the game, but that this kind of senseless whining is still considered journalism. "Good to see that the community is already off to such a great start." is not something that I would want to write in a professional game preview. It makes the author look petty and whiny. I've lost my respect for so many game journalists because of things like this.

I really think the story elements of this game are going to drive a wedge in the SWTOR community. There's going to be some people who are all about the story, and relish it, and there's going to be the standard MMORPG players who want to race to the end of an instance or raid.

I was considering joining a PVP guild, but now I'm concerned that they may only be concerned about getting to the end of the game, and not about enjoying the storyline.

    We'll see.

the GS comment about "Good to see that the community is already off to such a great start." is perfect journalism for a game preview many people now have been hoping to find a solid community to play with, and since vets or people that are in a rush get angry if you want to watch a cut scene shows that this game will not provide that sense that some are looking for.

well join the guild, enjoy your full story immersion and see your guildies when you hit 50. if they cant wait and give time for their guildies to enjoy the story they are really not the right guild for you

man just the first sentence of tha article made me stop reading.

"We find our lack of faith disturbing"

that tells me its arealdy gonna be a man this game needs improvement article. I KNOW that TOR will need a good deal of improvement throughout the first year and do not need to read about it EVERYWHERE i look.

those threads are ALL over the Official site to be called a cancer at this point. and its slowly starting to creep its way into these forums.

End run yea TOR still need lots of work but for what they are coming out with for release its a DAMN good start

I wish somebody somewhere had saved articles from all the major mmo betas. It would serve as a good reference and then maybe people would stop being such morons.

It really should be the legacy system, as it is now somewhat in beta.

if these are the "Interesting Announcement" that Rockjaw was talking about i DO NOT want to go anywhere NEAR the TOR site for the next week lol.

These are up on the TOR site right now and i hope for TORs sake its not the announcement or there will be VERY ANGRY mobs for the next 10 days lol

HELL i saw a 20min video of hammer station so not really all that news worthy to me anyways lol

AND BAM BABY BAM NDA IS HISTORY to a degree at least lol

Its cool for people that like star wars and think they mit be interested in the game. But i have seen beta footage, talked too people who have played beta and even tried it for a few minutes at a friends house. And im here too say that for me it gives really no spark and is not as good as you would think.Im not here too rain on the parade just throwing in my two cents and wish anyone who wants too play SWTOR good luck.
