It might not just be you but your interpretation is wrong. They are talking about Deathwing and the Cataclysm that happened to the WORLD of azeroth. There is nothing about the sentences that implies subscription drops or "WoW is dying".

I think its mostly that it feels they just don't care anymore. Baby blizzard bear. Ony Whelp. Then nothing. Now a tabard that might be temporary (and reuses a graphic (really ugly one, no less) so theres a bit of half-assedness there). Mostly I laughed when I saw it, because I was going to resub and get my wife to resub too. Now I won't.

This is just terrible. I can understand that Blizz is busy and all but now they are not even trying! This isn't a reward for being loyal customers, a BOA pet like the lil polar bear, or the whelp are. This is just sad. And ugly. And they wonder why they are losing customers, its giving us useless junk like this as a "thank you".

... Are you kidding me? Seriously? The fact that you chose to blatantly take it out of context and leave out the first part of the sentence doesn't make it go away; "With the return of a certain very large dragon, this has been a rough year for the world of Azeroth". It specifically refers to in-game lore events and has nothing to do with subscription numbers whatsoever. Holy WoW-bashing conspiracy nuts, Batman! Only on mmo-champ -.-

On topic though, the reward seems rather lackluster. I mean, not only is it limited duration, it's also a reused model? It won't even leave us with a permanent memory or souvenir for being around at this time? Then what's the point of it? :S Well sure, I suppose it's a step up from last year's "no anniversary pet this time, but let's shamelessly release not one but two store pets simultaneously with the anniversary, DERP", but only by a neglegible margin.

Are all you brainwashed???? If this was put into words it would be something like this... "After 7 years of you players giving us money to continue to keep this game alive, we're giving you a shitty tabard instead of finding ways to balance pve and pvp without hurting one or the other... or updating race models like the player base has asked for since TBC... this was much easier to do and saved us money/time, here you go" So glad i don't have to spend anymore money on this crap, 0 respect for blizzard.

Wow. Lamest reward ever. You'd think after the debacle last year they'd put in some effort and make a cool reward. An ugly tabbard with WoW on it is nothing special. And only losers will be wearing it. But of course, all the sycophants and blizzard fanbois will be all "WOW THANKS BLIZZARD THIS REWARD IS GREAT"
