By using her, they could be trying to get fans of her (assuming female) that don't play. A female is probably more likely to play after seeing her rather than seeing a washed up old actor.

Yes, since every girl wanna dump their boyfriend over a game, as a girl myself, I would NEVER start playing if I saw this tv ad, Ozzy, Verne, Norris are ALOT better to get new players, no matter how old they are, at least most people know who they are...

I haven't liked either of the commercials but don't really care. I think it's silly to come to the forums and "theorycraft" the target audience / how effective it is. Who cares? Yet it wouldn't surprise me if someone quit over it.

Btw these are targeted at getting new players to play. They don't need to advertise to current players or ones that have quit.
