How long do you get to beta test?

In my email it says I'm scheduled to beta test today at 11am, my time. It's almost 1130 now and the game's still not finished downloading... probably have a few more hours of downloading ahead of me
If I'm not on at the specified time do I still get to test? and how long does the testing period last? Is it just all weekend for everyone who got invited or does each person get a certain time window?
