I'm not exactly sure what you meant originally - but I think I understand now.

Well, there was never any evidence of that - ever since they announced the end of Season 10, the patch date was pretty much set as well (see above).

Yes its coming out on the 7th. All the evidence supporting it being released on the 29th, the blue poster saying it was coming out on the 29th & mmo champ backing the release for nov 29th were all wrong.

And even if they did wait til the next reset then it would have been on the 6th. However like the person stated above everyone that followed twittered knew it would be Tuesday, the CMs gave lots of hints. Scratch the above comment, didn't think about EU servers.

They don't always take the PTR down before release. Sometimes it stays up for a short time after, to test hotfixes and such. Plus, given that last week was a US holiday and many Blizzard employees have not been at work since Wednesday (and probably worked only a half day on Wednesday at that), there has been nobody there to bring it down.

If they waited till next week the patch would drop in the middle of an ongoing Darkmoon Faire. I'm no expert but I bet bad things happen when you try to implement a new version of an event while the current one is running.
