WoW AddOn IDE
Hi,
Does anyone know of a good wow addon IDE for project management?
So things like auto-complete and renaming functions across the whole 'project'.
Windows 7 or OS X is fine.
Thanks!
I know of none - most addon authors use programmer-oriented text editors, such as Notepad++ or PSPad. Both of them include multiple open files, search/replace (file, open files, files in folder), and Lua highlighting. Notepad++ also adds if-then-else and loop collapsing/expanding.
The Insane
wowpedia has a list of popular editors for lua, including several full IDEs.
article is simply "lua editors". can't post links yet unfortunately, but you should be able to find it.

Cheers! Yeah, going for a "real" IDE - I use vim for editors.
A lot of the wowpedia stuff was out of date I thought, but I'll check again.
Thanks again tho
Yeah, it wasn't really a UI designer I was looking for, just one to manage multiple files in a project.
Again for code-completion and renaming stuff.
Notepad++ has the capability for multiple-file management, as does PSPad, if I'm remembering correctly - it's not something I use myself.
