    Will this run SWTOR?

Just a quick question, seeing as i don't know a great deal about computers i thought i'd ask the people who have a big interest in this game. My question is silmply, will this computer run SWTOR on high graphics settings? and at £601 including win7 is it a good deal?

    Processor
    Intel Core i5 2300 2.8ghz Quad Core 6MB L3 Cache
    Motherboard
    H61-M Motherboard
    Graphics Card
    Radeon HD 6870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1
    Memory:
    4GB Corsair / Kingston 1333MHZ DDR3
    Hard Drive:
    500GB SATA Hard Drive 6GB/S
    Optical Drive:
    22/24x DVDRW
    Sound Card
    High Definition Audio 2/4/5.1/7.1- channel
    Case:
    Xigmatek Asgard Black
    Power Supply:
    XIGMATEK NRP-VC503 500W PSU
    Operating System
None - Optional Windows 7 premium 64 Bit

    Thanks.

I have a similar system, but instead of the i5 2300 I got the i5 2500K and instead of the HD6870 I got the HD6850 BE.

I can run SWTOR on everything max with shadows full with a stable 50-80fps.

If you don't mind paying an extra 20euro, get an i5 2500k/i5 2500 instead of the i5 2300.

    Otherwise It looks good

Yes, that should run the game at max settings, no problem

Can't say if it's a good deal since I'm not familiar with the pricing of stuff in GB, though.

I've just gone and bought it so all is good. I did compare a lot with different sites etc and i feel i'm getting the best for the money

Looks like CPU is responsible for a little bit more of the price than it should, which reflects in a low capacity HD and only 4 GB RAM.

    I'd upgrade to 8 GB.

Tbh, a lot of the "requirements" people throw at you are bullshit. My computer is 3 years old (2.4ghz CPU and a 4000 series GPU) and it ran the game on high with no problem.

Just to let everyone know who keeps making these threads...The max in Beta's is not the max in launch. The models are going to be a lot higher quality in the launch client. There are screens all over the net and it has been an active discussion on the Beta forums. Just because you can run max on beta does not mean you will be able to run max on the launch version.
Thank You Shyama for the sig again!!

Launch typically has lower requirements than a beta.

I've got an i3 2120 that's running SWTOR without a video card due to it being RMA'd to XFX. I'm pretty confident you should be able to run TOR with no issues whatsoever.

If you wanted to save money, you could downgrade to an i3 2100 or 2120: they are dual core but they punch far above their weight. Just depends on what you see the PC used for.

    Edit:

I'd suggest looking at the systems guides at Techreport.com, anandtech.com, and tomshardware.com to get a feel for pricing. They do a good job of figuring out what rig goes where in the budget range. I prefer techreport myself. Their forums are amazingly helpful.
