Somewhere, not sure yet, but ill get back to you.

Whats the lowest resolution I can put skyrim/how to make it run smoother.

So I just got skyrim and I get some FPS drops during combat and stuff like that, on 600x800 resolution. My specs are: Pentium Dual core CPU @ 2.60 Ghz, 2 gigs ram and my graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT. Can anybody recommend me a resolution the game would run well on/ ways to improve the FPS quality?

600x800 is the lowest possible resolution. You might be looking for a full hardware upgrade, since C2D aren't as good as they used to be, 2 gig RAM ain't enough for games and a 8500 GT is... Bad
Congratulations on graduating to expert level trolling, I would stick around but I'm busy getting gay married in 13 states and performing roadside abortions while passing bills that take away people's guns while i sip superior european wine and cheese i bought with european style socialist money, arrivaderci!

You're not going to be able to run the game smoothly at any graphics settings on 10 year old hardware, sorry man, your only option is to upgrade your comp. If you would like, tell me a price range in PM and I can help you put something together for a custom build

Get the graphics mod. Im not sure where it is but google for it. It made skyrim fly on my old 4670 at 1920x1080.

I do believe it's a more CPU-intensive game ,though , so you might have a problem with that. Might want to try overclocking.
