    Level 50 speculations? Expectations?

I know a lot of people, including myself, are really looking forward to the story of my character(s) while leveling in the game. I often find myself wondering tho, what will it be like at level 50?

What do you think it will be like at level cap? What expectations or speculations do you have? Do you think there will be enough stuff to do to keep people occupied or do you believe there will be a built in expectation that when not raiding or doing level cap pvp you will be working through the stories of various alts?

I had two subs for two different MMOs (one runs out in about a week, the other ran out about a week ago). Level cap is very different for each of those games so it has my wheels turning on what TOR will be like.

Skill up Crew Skills, run some flashpoints to get more social points\gear, do the operation(s), pvp against lvl 10's who are just as powerful as you are, increase your affection to your companions, do daily quests, upgrade your ships 'gear', get the many random powerup crates hidden all over the planets for permanent stat boosters, level up the legacy system or just run around looking totally badass. I'll have my hands full I think.

Edit: totally forgot about the legacy system... O_O

It's an additional XP bar shared between all characters. You can unlock additional character options and legacy powers with it. That's why it is an additional tab in your talent panel.
So i'd call it "We force you to level multiple characters with this system, because it gives you cool legacy powers".

    Yeah, navigating torhead is hard.

    Skill up Crew Skills,
The way crewskills work this is NOT an endgame option. Crewskills are done -WHILE- you do something else. They cannot be a main task,

Are you sure we need to level up multiple characters to get exp for the legacy tree? I thought you got legacy exp by doing quests or killing stuff that would give you exp at max level. :\

Either way, it's something to do. :P I won't bash a game I haven't played to it's full potential. I only reached level 27 on the stress test weekend.

As I understand it, it's an EXP bar you can do either way. You can have one main character and continuesly do (daily) quests, flashpoints, whatever and level it up that way, or you can play alts and level it up that way. Either way your Legacy name is becoming more well known, whether it's one toon (think Han Solo) or multiple "family" toons (Think Leia/Luke/Anakin).

I hope that raiding will take up some of my nights. I saw in the patch notes that they made nightmare mode more challenging. I was hearing from people before that, ones that were in beta that they could kill some of the nightmare bosses without grinding any gear and that just didn't sound fun. I want a couple bosses that we're going to work on for weeks before we can kill them.

I'm excited to go around gathering the datacrons since I probably won't bother with them prior to hitting 50. I also won't really level up a crafting crew skill till I'm level capped but will be gathering as many materials as I can.

I'm a dungeon junky and can't wait to do the 4 man heroic flashpoints since I heard those were challenging.

Just because you CAN do something else while you craft doesn't mean you are forced to. You are certainly able to stand around in town/city/station and craft to your heart's content.

I believe, that like every new massive, there will be a tremendous amount of bitching in about a month or two, about how SWTOR has no endgame, and that it's pure grind...

What content will be available at 50? Not enough... Even if it took a good deal of time to hit max (when does it, any more?), plenty of people would still power through it quickly, then power through what's available at 50, then either choose to sit around and complain about it, or go play something else.

Myself? I really can't say. I enjoyed the beta; is why I pre-ordered. But I don't know what the 'endgame' has.. I do know that levelling another char up through the story line interests me, but we'll see how fun the combat is for whether that's going to be realistic or not.

Honestly.... at this point I will probably finish one story arc and then start a new toon and do it all over again. I have never been much of a dungeoneer or raider so I imagine that I will be playing this game like an RPG with social networking built in and the occasional small group stuff

I imagine there will be plenty to do. As mentioned above, there are a lot of things to "skill up" in addition to the traditional professions (Crew Skills). I honestly think this is one of the games where it really pays off to be active on multiple characters, and at least level them up just for the sake of the story.

At level max, I expect flashpoints (dungeon) in a heroic version, operation (raid) in normal mode, Ilum (open pvp) for the fun, crafting and high level quests. I hope there'll be another fun activity.
    I won't create a reroll before two or three months I think/hope.

All of this is what I expect to do at 50.

I'm not going to rush my way to level 50, unlike WoW the story that leads up to 50 is a big reason why I like this game. Once I'm 50 I imagine I'll do these things, maybe start on an alt. as well.

This will most probably be what I'm going to do as well. I've been a "semi-hardcore raider" in Vanilla & TBC WoW, but that was because a) I had the time and b) I never felt much of an urge to level alts in WoW and focused all my time on my main.

However swtor offers such great story/dialogue for each class that I really couldn't care less about endgame, bascially there are 8 storylines, yet you could do each 2 times just to experience both LS and DS and at the same time AC1 and AC2...

With other words it's an altoholic's dream, for me it will be just like with any other BW RPG in wich I had lots of playtroughs, at the same time being in an MMO enviroment and being able to chat, group up for the occasional dungeon or even operation later on is a bonus.

Which is why I will do it -WHILE- I PvP, -WHILE- I explore the areas I missed while levelling, -WHILE- I do daily quests, -WHILE- I grind recommendations for those modable items I want for looks, -WHILE- I do Operations/Flashpoints ...... You know, -WHILE- I play the (rest of the end-) game.

I know I will be levelling several alts. Both for the story, but also because I like to be as independent as possible when it comes to crafting. I like that there is so much mod-able gear in the game, and will spend a lot of time collecting cool sets.

But I also enjoy exploring, so I will definitely spend (to much) time just traveling and exploring every nook and cranny of every single planet. Yesterday I took my new speeder for a stroll through Alderaan, and suddely an [Area] quest popped up, not from a quest giver but just from entering an area. I just love that shit

Don't forget the Level 50 PvP planet.

It looks like end game is good for release. It's how fast they add extra content which is my main worry.

You have to remember that games like this at release don't always have lots of end game content, it's always added later.

From the PvP I have done so far on my BH, I've never had so much fun in BGs, so I may in fact do a lot of PvP for once.

I have heard there are 15 FPs and 2 Operations. Hopefully that's at level 50 (heroic modes), that's a lot for release. Let's hope they are hard. But then people will just complain...

Finally, socialise! I hope cantinas are busy :P
