Cunning of the cruel

Hello all!

I'm here today asking what makes cunning of the cruel such an op trinket for shadow priest?
From what I understand all that is making it op is,

1. It "benefits from the +15% shadow damage from shadow spec"

2. It not only does the Aoe damage but "also hits the target"

3. It benefits from "spell power and raid buffs".

Thus with these three reasons making it a rag trinket that can aoe from shadow heaven?

Any further details/reasons this trink is so op for shadow will be greatly appreciated.

You've pretty much answered your own question. The other spriest in my guild has it and I personally I can't wait to get my hands on it; he pretty much destroys me on any AoE fight.

Ok so hopefully I linked all of these properly to tired right now to go over it but I just wanted to show the damage output difference of the trinket on a wide variety of kills.
Is it OP? I think the logs will give you your answer
Also the fact that is scales with gear makes it a tad bit more insane because every upgrade you get essentially increases the worth of this trinkets proc.
Lastly there is loose confirmation that the legendary can double proc it so don't quote me on that. No I do not have the legendary to confirm it.....yet(omg tuesday finally).

Fortunately only shadow and warlocks prefer it over IoCM so far, so we'll have a relatively easy time obtaining this fantastic trinket.
