Shadowfiend and Intellect Procs.

Hello Priestly forums.
I have read through almost all of the posts in Kilee's Shadow guide, and have searched for any posts in threads about how Shadowfiend works. It is my understanding that Shadowfiend takes a snapshot of whatever your stats are at the moment of using it. And I was under the impression that this made it ideal to pop Shadowfiend after proccing Power Torrent/AA/any other Int procs. However.. when I went to a dummy and tried using sfiend before AA and after, my sfiend did more damage before popping AA. Would this not mean that shadowfiend benefits from procs after it is used?
Am I completely stupid and misunderstood this?

Shadowfiend looks at your stats per hit. If you gain a proc when sfiend it already out it will start to hit harder. If you lose a proc it will hit for less.

That is certain for intellect as of 4.2 that I know of.

Oh! I never knew this. This makes sense with what I've been seeing at a dummy. But it'd still be best to use it with all your procs up so its first hit benefits, right?

AA isnt int or % overall dmg, its MF/MB only (inb4 MS the useless spell)
Your only INT proc is Power torrent.

Sfiend scales retroactive. As the above post mentioned.

You want to use Sfiend when it overlaps the most with your spellpower.
