    Skada is it broken?

    My friend keeps telling me that it is broken...is it?

    Yea my friend tells me that "it is accurate in counting you'r dps but not your partys."

    I find it closer to world of logs than recount.

    It is quite accurate actually, your friend might see strange results in trash maybe though if he doesn't have Aggressive Combat Detection on (I think it's called something like that...can't log to check at the moment).On boss fights he shouldn't be seeing inaccuracies.

    World of logs should be the most accurate to check since it's straight up from your combat log though.

    Skada/Recount work straight of the combat log, too.

    But the way they work out what to display as your DPS is different, I believe Skada reports your effective dps whilst recount just reports your dps.

    Actually, they just use different measurements of "time in combat" to determine the "S" in "DPS".

    There's at least 8 different ways to measure time in combat - this post on WoWAce by Xinhuan (Omen3) talks about them.
