    First time building a computer

    So as the title says it is my first time building a computer and I am looking for a little help. I spoke to several of my friends and they told me that the following build would work;
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119194 - Case
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139021 - Power Supply
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131791 - Motherboard
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115071 - CPU
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231311 - RAM
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148697 - Hard Drive
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106369 - Disc Burner
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121446 - Video Card
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236059 - Monitor
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826153055 - Mouse
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823126194 - Keyboard

I am just wondering if there is anything else I might need, whether this build would actually work, and any other information about it would be helpful. If possible, I would also love to know if it would make too much noise or overheat. Thanks in advance.

Why oh WHY are you getting a 2600k?!? Get the 2500k, and spend the rest to upgrade that crappy GPU. Sorry to be harsh, but many will agree.

Also, you didn't even buy a CPU cooler, if you are getting a K series, and you're not going to overclock it, then why spend the extra money on it..?

Which GPU would you recommend? Would a gtx 570 be any noticeable difference?

Exchange the CPU for the I5 2500K in games the I5 2500K and I7 2600K perform pretty equivalently. In regards to the GTX560 since it is not the Ti version you are going to see pretty poor performance. Either upgrade to the GTX560 Ti DCII or upgrade to the GTX570 with the money saved from the CPU swap.

Yeah, after digging further into reviews I found that the 570 would perform a lot better. Would it be able to run graphic intensive games (such as BF3) on the highest settings without overheating or lagging?

Yes, you would see a pretty big jump. I have 2 gtx 570's in SLI right now with a I7 930 @4.2ghz, and love them!

Would the extra 340 or so dollars be worth sporting dual cards? I am not too concerned with the price, but I don't want it to get way too high.
