Could D3 ruin the ecnonomy?

WTF? You mean 2 million people farming stuff will ruin the economy? Where a seller is is a buyer THAT is economy. Also: You clearly haven't kept up with the news on Blizzard's RMAH - to me it sounds like the only place where you can spend the money you make in the RMHA is: Blizzard products!

Apparently YOU haven't been keeping up on the news - The 'blizzard bucks' are entirely optional; you can still cash out (probably at a hefty fee, knowing blizzard) for real money.

OT: I really don't think, at this point in time, we can say whether or not it will be lucrative to sit in one's basement and play D3 all day to pay the bills. I highly doubt it, unless you're farming up items that sell for a steady $50 or more every few days. I'm betting, at best, you could get a part time job and make up the difference with D3, but I really can't see actually living off the game.

Rofl. You're assuming the botters will use Blizzard's AH. LOL. They'll do what they've done for the other two Diablo games: Sell the items on third party sites. While Blizzard frowns upon this, there's really nothing they can do; they don't see the money transaction AT ALL, all they see is someone giving an item to someone else in-game. Which, last time I checked, was a completely legitimate thing to do. Sure, they can possibly try to get the websites shut down...we see how well that went with D2 lol.

Firstly blizzard bucks will be a choice,meaning that if you want you can either have them as real money,or put them in bnet balance,once in bnet balance its not money anymore,those money will be credits like points in xbox live or LoL

P.Seople that actually believe they can live off diablo better be ready for the ugly truth.Investing 10 hours a day to make 30 bucks at best,since its RNG its not worth it mainly because most people need more money to live on a daily basis and because the gold farmers from china get paid 1-5 bucks for day to make that same amount of money IF they get paid at all (prison gold farmers anyone? :P )

I really really doubt you will be able to make a living of it. I do hope though that my boyfriend and i will be able to at least make enough money to pay for our wow game time and maybe afford some stuff from the blizzard store ect. I think it's nice especially for people like us with not so much money that we can aid our gaming a bit! So that we don't have to save up money and struggle a bit with the game time and so on.

this^^ all im really hoping for out of the RMAH is to use it to fund my subs and maybe get a few pets

Interesting idea, but it's flawed. If someone could make enough money to live on by making gold in d3 and selling it, they would be doing work. They would already be part of the economy and technically, D3 would have helped the economy because it created jobs.
