Heya MMO, There is a Computer Shop here that's selling this build and I wonder if it worth the price. Let's start.

    Memory: 4Go Corsair DDR3-1600Mhz
Power Supply: ATX Antec 750 Watts
    SSD: Unknown 60GB
    Hard Drive: Seagate 500Go 7200

All this for 1250 Can $.

Also I am wondering if I thses upgrade worth it.
    From the i5 TO i7 2600K for 120$
    4G to 8G for 35$
    4G to 16G for 90$
Unknow SSD 60GB for OCZ Agility 3 of 120Go for 170$

I'd assume you got this from a build-a-pc website or something like that. Consider purchasing the parts yourself and building them or taking them to a vendor instead.

Hey Tolaria im from Quebec too and you should buy your computer from NCIX.ca , you can buy pieces by pieces and pay an additional 50$ so they assemble it for you, they also sell some very well priced prebuild PC Other than that, your only option is to buy from Microbytes! But let me tell you ... this computer is really bad! , those GPUs are horrible! bad motherboard choice, overkill PSU, lol 4gb to 8gb ram for 35$?! You can buy 8gb for 35$ LOL! Not sure whos selling you this crap but I could definatly build a much better computer for you! PM me if u are interested!

The GPU choice is indeed horrible, same with normal 560.
If going for any 560, go for the Ti version, they give better peformance for hardly any increase in price.
Else just get a 580 to reduce the power consumption and heat generation, or any Radeon card that is similar to 580.

Fuzzykins, could you maybe say why the motherboard is a bad choice?
I got pretty much the same motherboard (Z68XP-UD3P), and i just love it, never had any problems with it, and it works really well for overclocking my i5 2500K (4,4GHz without changing vcore), which i couldnt do with my old Z68AP-D3 (budget card ftl)

I would guess they put in a 750w PSU due to the SLI and future upgrades, just so you dont have to buy a new PSU straight when you buy better graphic card(s).

There i have to agree with Fuzzykins, you can get 8GB straight away for the same money, no upgrade from 4GB.

Cant you make a deal with the store to pick parts piece by piece and they put it all together, and get them to put the bill like you would be buying a prebuilt computer?
I doubt they will lose anything on that, they still get their money, and you get your computer.

Umm what? I hope you're kidding or meant to type some other number...

560ti vs 580 (power, heat, noise)

    Not to mention it's a $220 vs $500

The 750W is for the SLI.

Radaon are better choice than Nvidia for the same price ? i.e XFX 6950 1GB VS EVGA GTX 560 Ti
Also the It's a student Loan for a computer, I cannot raid anymore with my laptop (1-5 FPS during 25m).
Look stupid to ask, but what's a SLI?

Also: It look like i5 and i7 can be Overcloaked to same speed so should I take a i5 or i7? and what's the difference Between the K series(2500 or 2500k, 2600 or 2600k).

Ok it seems that my build above doesn't worth it due to the GPU.
I found a site that build custom PC in Quebec and they are eligible for the Student Loam.
Anyone want to check the website and build a computer that worth around $1250.

Using http://www.pcczone.com/ as you posted for options.

    Code:
    1 x Intel I5-2500K 3.3GHz Sandy Bridge LGA1155 Quad Core BX80623I52500K Processor	228.66$
    1 x Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 LGA1155 DDR3 Motherboard ATX	168.00$
    1 x Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Memory	60.59$
    1 x WD Caviarâ„¢ Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB SATA 6.0GB/s HDD	95.15$
    1 x EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti HD 01G-P3-1561-AR Video Card	266.24$
    1 x Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio	0.00$
    1 x LG GH22NS70 SATA Dual Layer Black	24.50$
    1 x CORSAIR CAFA70 LGA775, LGA1366, LGA1156, AM2/AM3 CPU Cooler	51.50$
    1 x Corsair Enthusiast Seriesâ„¢ TX650 V2 650W CMPSU-650TXV2 Power Supply	110.00$
    1 x Cooler Master HAF 922 RC-922M-KKN1-GP Mid Tower	100.05$
    1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit English 1PK DVD OEM (GFC-00599)	99.99$
1 x Complete assembly and testing of the system includes 6 months warranty	60.00$
    Total Price :	1264.68$

You can "play around" with the HDD options if you want to include an SSD, they only let me add a 2TB second drive if I chose an SSD as first drive. 2TB for $200 extra is a little too much for my liking.

750w for dual 1GB cards...it could be risky
Also, if you are building the rig go for AMD and ATI WITHOUT ANY DOUBT and ditch nVidia - Intel for the rich early adopters that just don't know how to spend their bucks

    Infracted for brand bashing.

You clearly haven't read the whole thread.

@Tolaria Don't listen to this guy/girl about the Nvidia warning, either he/she is trolling or just don't know better.

I would greatly recommend using your student loans for a non-gaming laptop.
They can be used almost anywhere, from your school's cafeteria to the local coffee bar, and are just much cheaper $$$. Non-gaming computers also tend to help your GPA ^^
Student loans are great if you don't abuse them.

    Just my 2 cents.

EDIT : Is this build worth it ? My answer is no for the sake of your grades and social life. Even if it is a grant, is not worth it.

If I'm not mistaken, this is most likely a special circumstance which allows him to get a computer paid for by provincial government, or a bursary given through the school, because he is receiving a student loan (which is given through the government here in Canada). This would generally not affect the normal loan money he would be getting.

I was able to do this due to having a physical disability which requires me to use a laptop to write notes, and it is technically a grant, not a loan, as I do not need to give the money, or the laptop, back, at the end of my schooling.

The 750W is for the SLI.
He was talking about replacing the 550 SLI with 560 SLI.. Which do consume more power, and generate more heat than a single 580, for almost the same price and not too huge improvement in performance.
And if he still wants to go for 560, the Ti version beats the non-Ti version for hardly any difference in price at all.

Im using a 800w PSU with 2x Gigabyte GTX 560Ti OC in SLI, a Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P motherboard, 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance LP 1600MHz RAM and i5 2500K (stock clok) cooled with Antec Khuler H2O 620 with a Scythe GT 1450 RPM fan.
Power usage is fine, and i got room for overclocking both the CPU and GPU.

Intel is better than AMD for pure gaming, if you dont believe me, go ahead and check all the tests and reviews and they will say the exact same thing.
Not even AMDs Bulldozer series can beat out i5 2500K for gaming performance, in most games that are out now, not even the i7 can win over the i5.
And ATI vs nVidia is more of a personal opinion now, since they both make good cards with equal performance, only minor difference is the price.

The amount of vRAM has very little to do with a cards power consumption. In either case, you can run 2x Radeon 6870 on a proper 500W PSU without any issues.

I already have a non-gaming laptop that work fine for... non-gaming
