    Lag issues in wow

In the past 2 weeks i have been getting some off and on lag spikes. It has never happend before and is getting quite annoying. When it happens i can see everything going on in chat, but the players around me are running in place. I was wondering if anyone else had these problems. My friend told me that he is having the same issues with wow, but when he play TOR its perfect. I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on if its my internet or if others are having the same problem. (I have tried to repair wow)

    It's a network issue.

Go to pingtest.net and select a server that's a good distance away from you (at least a thousand or so miles) and post the result here.

Latency is a little high for that distance, but your internet connection looks fine. So with that said, your issue could be from a few things:

    1. Somewhere between your home and the routing used to your WoW server, there's packet loss.
    2. Your wireless router / modem is either on it's way out the door or having some type of NAT table issue.

I'm seriously leaning to #1. What server (and region) do you play on? It would be best to run a few traces to your server's IP.

I play on Illidan-US and live in north texas. I know that the server time on illidan is the same as where i live.

    1. Click start, type "cmd.exe" in the search bar and press enter (if you're on XP, use search to find it).
    2. In the black box that pops up, type this without quotes "tracert 206.18.148.176".
    3. After it's finished, right click anywhere in the box and click "select all". Then press ctl+c to copy it.
    4. Paste it here!
