The image is real. The date though, has been confirmed by an employee, to be fake.

According to an Escapist article a Best Buy employee has confirmed it's real. But then... it's a Best Buy employee.

I personally wouldn't get my hopes up until I hear it straight from Blizzard.

Placeholder dates are almost always the very last day of the year, not the first of the month that tends to a few weeks away. Then to make a poster about it, seems pretty silly to me to be fake or a placeholder. We'll see.
