And yeh, it's best to, when you buy a new computer, to immideatly buy one that will last a while. By the looks of that thing, that shouldn't be a problem.
    ta and ta
Yh, my thoughts exactly. I'd rather spend a bit more on a real beast that is easily upgradable.

I disagree, overpriced state-of-the-art hardware gets outdated at the same speed as very good hardware for a third the price.

I never said to buy the priciest computer out there. i just said that, when you buy/make one, you should make it so that'll be able to play games decently in the future. It sucks if you're forced to upgrade after a year because it can't handle it anymore.

That Alienware rig is pretty much one of the priciest computers out there (there are no restrictions to the top of course, as with everyting).
"be able to play games decently in the future" is exactly what you can do with my understanding of "very good hardware for a third the price".

But I don't want to spoil the fun for people who like to spend their money on highend hardware... it's helping the industry a lot, after all ^^

With a fancy computer like that you must be playing SWTOR with textures on high

    Ouch Mif! Ouch!

    Why such hurtful words!

To be honest, I won't be playing it much longer, 9 days left on play time. Although I'm not sure if I'm on medium or high, since apperantly one of the settings is a fake!

oh I thought it said who...

I won't embaress myself by posting my PC specs on here... it's something akin to a nintendo 64 with a keyboard taped to it in terms of hardware :<

    It's in my sig!
I may have upgraded my video card by the time GW2 comes out, but I can't see myself having any desire to upgrade anything besides that in the near future.
Even that would take some major self-convincing. I mean, everything I play right now I play on settings to give me 60-100 FPS constantly, and it all looks perfectly fine since I'm not a complete graphics whore.
I don't need BF3 on ultra with AA maxed, thanks, it looks basically the same with shadows and AA turned down.

I'm pretty sure that an OCed 560Ti (which the Twin Frozr is by factory) will be able to run GW2 on Ultra Settings with 1920*1080.
The graphics surely look nice, but they will not be as demanding as BF3.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I would need to update my video card FOR gw2,
the thread was just titled "what will you be playing GW2 on" so I figured I'd point out that by the time GW2 comes out I may have updated my video card.
