I know operative is like a rogue. Sorcerer is like an ele shaman.

Jedi Knights/Sith Warriors are a LOT like Warriors from WoW. Actually, it is pretty much close to the same thing.

sucks theres no class like frost mages though
If you want an honest answer? Don't even try to compare them. The only class even close to comparable is Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior compared to a Warrior and still then it's barely comparable. If you are trying to pick a character just play them all until you find one you truly like. Trying to pick based off of something compared to WoW you are going to get bored really fast...
Bounty hunter - mercenary arsenal ->> arcane mage .. spam x 3-5 times and hit y .. on proc hit B
bounty hunter - mercenary pyrotech ->> frost mage .. not quite all the escape tools but definetly has a snare in basic shot on proc along with burst dmg.
sith assasin/jedi shadow - kinda like a stealth enahcement shaman with a stun.
Imperial Operative - kinda like a hunter or rogue depending on advanced class.
hmm what would be the republic version of this thoughbounty hunter - mercenary pyrotech ->> frost mage .. not quite all the escape tools but definetly has a snare in basic shot on proc along with burst dmg.

Watchman/Annihilation specs for Jedi Knight Sentinel and Sith Warrior Marauder respectively. Wheras Combat/Carnage feels more like a, funnily enough, Combat Rogue or a Fury Warrior, maybe WotLK FDK without the overpowered. Focus/(I don't know the Sith version) is the PvP spec, as in it's got most of the utility tools and talents. That feels a bit like an arms warrior definitely, what with Singularity more or less equating to the "1-shot-kill-macro" warrior playstyle. Grab the Expertise buff, pop an expertise pot with 4 stacks, Force Leap and rofl at 5x4-6k Crits.
Yeah, Vanilla took skill. When everyone was the same 4 classes and exact same spec.
Priest = Holy
Warrior = Protection
Druid = Just there to be a battery.
Paladin = Thanks for the applying the buffs one at a time over and over and over again through the fights.
What's a Rogue?
PvP was even worse since it was pretty much x>y>z. Complain all you want about balance changes, but aside from Frost Mages skill at least factors into PvP now.
Is that so?
