    For my fellow Gun Nuts.

Kalashnikov just unveiled their new AK, while this is still prototype it looks like they made some solid improvements.

I don't have an AK yet in my collection and thought this would be a great way to start things off right

and yes you read right will be capable of using a 7.62x51 in certain models.

My Uncle has an AK. We fired off a full clip pretty quick, about an hour later RCMP showed up on my Uncle's property as a near by neighbor phone them saying that it sounded like a war was unfolding at my Uncle's place. Needless to say I can appreciate the beauty of this new AK.

Things like this make me sad we have such strict "assault weapon" laws here

Ditto, even though I kinda think Kalishnakov weapons are ugly. Also, Russian weapon using NATO rounds?

Yeah I was on the verge of buying a Barrett but the up front price and the thought of paying 10 dollars a round just overwhelmed me.

Google the NTW 20, smexi rifle, I shudder at the thought of how expensive the ammo might be though.

Still, you don't have to be a gun nut to appreciate how sexy a piece of kit like that is. Guns are for more than shooting the enemy.

One of the local guys that was back from Iraq brought his Bushmaster .50 cal to the local range last summer. The power of that round is absolutely staggering.

As far as I'm concerned guns fall into the same category as fancy cars, big trucks and bodybuilding. It's all compensation for something else.

People kill people and will continue to do so be it with a gun or a butter knife.
But hey your kid could suffocate himself with a plastic shopping bag, I suppose we should have laws in place preventing you from keeping those in your home as well.

Nooes. The safety/firing mode selector is changed

Very unlikely that I will ever use one of these though.
