A Gorn, really??? Very odd having that following me around. My GF is playing some kind of melee Jedi, Sentinal I think and she has 3 companions but I only have the Gorn. When do I get a another, or is alligator boy my BFF?

You get more a bit later. One in Nar Shadda (though you most likely won't like him), and then another one on Balmorra. Your last two are from Hoth, and Belsavis.

I wouldn't say "new" to it but also not very into it, to be honest. Heck, I don't even remember what race my character is, he's "Green Guy" to me. Just not very into lore in general but the Trandoshan is not really my cup of tea.
