Just got my place in line for the midnight release at my local Gamestop. Everyone got free Quiznos' subs and hot coffee. Why is my local Gamestop so fucking boss? Another hour and a half and ME3 will be mine!!!

That does sound boss. I would have been at my midnight release but I got my vacation day cancelled because the guy who was supposed to be working for me called in sick. Just 9.5 hours to go until gamestop opens in the morning. I think gamestops should open early on wednesdays.

I has no camera or I would have. Line's gone already though. The way Gamestop does midnight releases, (at least my local Gamestop) is they open the doors at 10:00PM, they sell you the game, they mark your receipt with a number. Then you come back at midnight, you take your place in line, you show the guy at the door your receipt, and they hand you your copy.

Having been going to midnight releases for a long time, I remember when they used to not do things like this. The method they use now is a LOT faster. So I'm currently at home, waiting for midnight. I got a turkey and cheese sub with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise btw.

Yup that is gamestops new policy. Ours actually has a table setup for people who got their reciept marked early and another for people who didn't or who didn't pre-pay. So if you get your stuff marked you just blow through it, its great

Awwwh... I really wanted some pictures from the people who are waiting in line. I'm following the feeds on Facebook but it's always a bit different from the fans' PoV.

And now you made me hungry too, god damn it!

Mass Effect 3 is a remarkably satisfying conclusion to a beloved trilogy, and a poignant and memorable role-playing action game in its own right.

"The series' focus on player choice is as vital as it has ever been in Mass Effect 3. The effects of choices in previous installments have an impact in extraordinary ways here, more so than in Mass Effect 2. Sometimes the nods to prior choices are subtle. A lover might fondly recall her previous entanglement with you, while still supporting your new romantic interest. At other times, the impact is far more dramatic. Entire quests, conversations, and characters shift as a result of your actions in previous games (not to mention, your decisions in this one). As a result, you might be delighted by characters other players never meet, share intimate talks with crewmates other players never interact with, and deal with decisions other players never make. And as in previous Mass Effect games, your entire attitude when choosing dialogue options (paragon or renegade) can drive you to conclusions other players could never consider."

ARRRGH. This wait is such a torture! Reading reviews doesn't really help but I just had to. D:

I've been playing it for a good 6 hours. Pretty fun I suppose. There are hardly any dialogue options so far though; I dunno what's up with that.

You may be playing on Action rather than Story or RPG ;-)

Well I wasn't even given an option like I was in the demo. I also imported a character from 1/2

Mmm I tried heaps of face codes and they all worked fine. ME3 faces look strikingly similar to ME2 faces (if not better)...I had initially imagined importing codes would turn up with all sorts of weird things but nope :P

Are you sure you aren't using any custom hair/faces/etc?

I did the import feature on the Xbox version and got a Mass Effect 3 cannot successfully determine the custom face code used by this imported save game message. Looks like its time to re build my Shep.
