There really wasn't too much shown. Mostly just environment/planets. Only really interesting picture shown was probably the krogan but even then that was not something to get overly excited for.

Seems like it is not a prequel, though. What with the galaxy map, the pretty still sci-fi looking armour concepts, the Krogan.. (which looked quite monstrous)

Theoretically Wrex and Grunt could be alive because krogan can live thousands of years. But still.
