I think you're thinking of the potential time for a recount in Ohio, which I've heard cited as 10 days.

No, I wouldn't. Why in the world would I? What I love is when people make declarations about how people would have reacted in a situation that isn't what happened.

So much hate, when did Red and Blue become more important than substace.

I dislike Red because of the substance; when Republicans stop broadly rejecting science (on evolution, climate change, stem cell research), attempting to strip women of reproductive rights, and preventing gay people from marrying, I'll be more amenable to the idea that everyone's on the same team.

I was looking over these threads for weeks, and republican thread is so much longer.
Now there are 1560 pages in republican thread and 615 in democratic.

I'm not trolling, I just look at these numbers and they are so off.
What's the cause of this? Are republicans more vocal?
    More passionate?
Do democrats simply post in the other thread?
Democrats are more confident, so no reason to discuss election as much?

What do you guys think the cause of over 2:1 ratio

These were originally threads for the primaries. There was a relevant Republican primary, but not a relevant Democrat primary. Why the threads weren't merged, I'm not clear.

Pic a random page from the republican thread and read it. You *might* see one republican post. More likely, you'll see 18 posts by Democrats and 2 by Grokan.

That's a bit generous, though I appreciate the differentiation.

Well we know how some people in North Carolina feel about President Obama. This image is going viral. It took me like 15min of research to figure out where the original image came from

Looks like someone is likely in trouble, as they should be. Two things I'm curious about: what's on what appears to be a sign around his neck? And who is the other person hanging behind him?

Gas stations have cameras, at least most do. Hopefully they can find out who put that up.

For most people, there is little to differentiate a Democrat from the generalized term of "liberal" as most people understand it. You're obviously not a Democrat, given your residence, but you're definitely liberal (by US standards).
I don't argue to be right, I argue to be proven wrong. Because I'm aware that the collective intelligence of the community likely has more to offer to me by enlightening me, than I do to an individual by "winning" an argument with them.

Indeed. I'm a liberal pinko commie by FoX standards. Because I think human rights should apply to, you know, all humans. Stuff like that.

Clearly I was born somewhere else. I mean, the tanned skin, lack of any discernible accent and light eyes are a dead give away as foreign!

I thought the term currently in vogue was socialist? Seems I need to get an updated "How to Hate" handbook.

I think they love the term 'marxist' because it's supposed to sound scary.

I'm actually a conservative in my everyday life. I don't adapt well to changes in routine.

You are one of the few people here registered to a political party. Most people here are not democrats.

The primaries is where a lot of the page numbers grew. You had people in Republican thread talking about Santorum, Paul, Bauchmann, Perry, Gingrich, Cane and Romney vs democrat thread with Obama.
