I saw a lot of people complaining about how rushed the patch felt. Next day, hotfixes.

  3. #3
The Warrior changes are nice. Still doesn't make up for the 6 months of punishment we got for 3 weeks of brokenness, but nice all the same.

  4. #4
If they didn't rush the patch they wouldn't need a hotfix

You try maintaining the code for a game this big. It's not *nearly* as simple as some of you might think it is, and it only gets worse as they add more patches to it.

So, you can enjoy the fast pace, where they fix stuff quickly if they do mess it up, or, they can slow down and take more time, and then some of you would be unhappy about that. Your choice. Either way, Trion can't seem to win with some of you.
Why do most of your posts seem like an attack on posters?

Primal is bang to rights about this particular patch. They introduced a ton of changes and then 24hrs later announced they were going live. They've never done that before, even with the rapid deployment of patches we usually have at least a week to test changes and feed back any bugs or thoughts. So when we all cried 'You can't go live 24hrs after making these changes' and they do and all hell breaks loose, yes we are quite right to make comments like Primal's.

All of this aside, even though the patch was rushed I feel quite confident that things will be hotfixed within a few days, already we have one patch out and I expect another soon. Even at their worst Trion positively shine compared to other developers in the industry.

EDIT: No sooner have I said it, that it happens: http://community.riftgame.com/en/201...00am-pst-2312/

Doesn't really matter, it's a great feature, glad to see it.

  16. #16
I'm pretty supportive of Trion, but I cannot support those Akylios nerfs. I understand nerfing content to allow progression especially with Infernal Dawn coming but removing entire mechanics from the Akylios fight? If I were the dev that designed that fight I would be so pissed. I feel horrible for the guilds who were 10/11. They need to revert those changes and go about it another way. They should never ever remove mechanics wholesale from a fight. I don't think even Blizzard does that. Sad.

  17. #17
These Akylios changes make me die a little inside.

Nerfing content is an accepted and necessary process but I cannot condone removal of the fights defining mechanic whilst it is still the pinnacle of raiding in the game.

If these changes occurred the day ID was released I would be far less concerned.

  18. #18
Not to point out the obvious, but so far there is this:

    1. Flicker
    2. Way of the mountain
    3. Big ass addon that flashes blue and tells you the waves are coming

Weren't people essentially ignoring the waves anyways? This really seems like a pity nerf and some guilds out there must be stuck on this.

Anyways 12 pages of pissed of people and other people telling them to calm down lol

    http://forums.riftgame.com/rift-gene...lios-nerf.html

btw the encounter got this nerf 6 months in. Go see some of the Dragonsoul nerfs if you want to see pissed off hardcores lol

  19. #19
I was one of those pissed off posters.

I don't fully trust my Flicker, I dodge like a boss.

Dragonsoul nerfs pissed off regular raiders, I like to hold Trion to a higher standard than Blizzard.

  20. #20
This is why if you don't kill it before nerfs it doesn't matter.
