    Question Clarify something for me...

    Hey,

To my understanding you can either level your character in Guild Wars 2 or create a level capped one right away if you wish to focus on PvP. Does this mean that the toons that start at level 1 and the toons that start at max level will always play in different battlegrounds? Or will everyone be able to join same battlegrounds and play against each other with normalized stats/skills?

Knowing the mmo communities -- If these two different types of gameplay options have their own PvP brackets -- the levelers might get branded with some sort of "softcore" status.

I tried googling about this subject but couldn't find anything :/ Does anyone have any concrete information about this matter?

You start with level 1, always.

If you want to PvP on that level 1, you're set to level 80, max gear/skills etc. When you are done and want to get back to PvE, you're level 1 again.

That is GOOD news. Thanks for the answer.

Right now my only problem with Guild Wars 2 is that it sounds too good to be true... :P

You will be scaled up to level 80, but thats a stat bump only, you will still be missing some of the skills that a fully developed character has. So you wont be instagibbed, but you will still really struggle against somebody that is actually max level. There are PVE objectives for you to complete in WvWvW for that very reason

Last I heard WvWvW only adjusts stats/level enough so that a level 15 player won't get decimated by a level 80 player by stats alone, but skills/traits are not fully unlocked. Everything is leveled from stats to skills/traits in structured PvP.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

You can level in WvWvW, and your stats/gear will be scaled up to a level 80.

yes, ur scaled to lvl 80 in WvWvW but don't have all the skills that a person who had lvld to 80 would have. You also won't have the optimised gear that a lvl 80 would have.

    Not optimized as some armors will have as in;

    Extra armor against lightning damage
    Extra Power
    Less Damage during the Day
    More Damage during the night

    etc.

There needs to be an armor that does extra damage against bookahs.

    GW1 had weapons with special suffixes;

    Charr: of Charrslaying
    Demons: of Demonslaying
    Dragons: of Dragonslaying
    Dwarves: of Dwarfslaying
    Giants: of Giantslaying
    Ogres: of Ogreslaying
    Plants: of Pruning
    Tengu: of Tenguslaying
    Trolls: of Trollslaying
    Undead: of Deathbane
    Skeletons: of Skeletonslaying

Time to add Asura to that list.

No...we need a generic bookah component. Only a Charr would deisgn individual racial items.
Sigh.....I guess "we'll" deisgn it then

    So much Asura hate.

Charrs, just succumb to our unrivaled intelligence and become our mounts.

You will be scratched behind your ears at will and be fed Mifs cookies for life.

Pretty sweet deal, take the deal...take it!

except that cant work because the power of a slaying weapon depends on the weapons negative attunement to a specific type of creature's life energies, if you try to put multiple attunements on it they interfere with each other and nothing happens

i expected better from an asura
