Ok so I loved SWTOR for about a month and a half, but i'm just becoming tired of the game now. It's honestly boring the hell out of me. So I've seen a lot of talk about GW2 and how amazing it's going to be but I was just curious about a few things. What's the speculated release date? Is it a sandbox? And are there any video's you'd advice me to watch in particular to become more interested in the game? Thanks for any replies.

1. There is no speculated release date, although the community believes it will be Late Q1 -> Early Q2 2012. So anywhere from March -> June. Most agree an April/May date makes the most sense.
2. Someone else should take this.
3. I recommend checking the sticky above, it lists good videos to peruse.

He can't dislike a game? I'm in the same boat as OP, it's too boring for me to grind quests and I refuse to stand about in the fleet looking for a group and no one seems to want to do instances when I ask on whatever planet I'm on.

lol it bored the hell out of me too. I may be getting too old for the traditional MMOs though. Tired of gear > skill and the end game engine. The features of GW2 just speak to me and, so far, are right up my alley. Just seems like they get MMOs and are putting teamwork back in the genre, without forcing roles onto me and my friends, without making us bum rush the max level to play together(like we did in swtor), and without sacrificing any drops just because 2 of us decided to role characters with the same armor type. :P Just feels good man.

That's why it's a joke - there is no reason for you to lie, and therefore no reason to use "Honestly" before the statement. Sarcasm is very obvious on the internet.

Really? I've had many experiences where I believed that someone is being sarcastic but they actually weren't and this often leads to uncomfortable conversation. I personally believe that there should be some kind of font or sign to imply sarcasm.

On topic: Welcome to the GW2 subforums, we have better cookies! If you need info just read the stickies and/or older posts, nearly every topic has been covered here and some too often (endgame, lack of trinity etc.)

Ah, didn't see that coming. This is what I'm talking about we need a special font to show sarcasm. I suggest we use Comic Sans MS because anything written in that abomination cannot be taken seriously.
