Ok, so this really has me sitting on the fence in terms of buying this game. SystemRequirementsLab says this:

I do plan on upgrading my CPU, Motherboard and RAM in the near future and I am wondering how this game will run in the meantime. Basically I don't want to buy the game and find it doesn't run well (on lowest settings, not expecting anything else).

    Now that would be telling.

What? Yeah, that should run it perfectly fine on low. Confused as to why that has you sitting on the fence. =P (Not saying there's no reason to be on the fence about the game, just saying I don't understand what about that image would hold you back)

My PC will run it on ultra but how about this second one?
    Q6600 Quad core 2.6ghz
    4gb ram
    xfx 5770 1gb

I never liked fences. I hate them in games as well as in real life. Not to be mistaken with Fencers, who is both lovely and the pinnacle of righteousness on these forums.

It's not that I don't like the game (looks fucking awsome), just didn't wanna fork out £50 and can't do anything due to sub 30 FPS everywhere.

Which is fair enough, it's just strange that you linked that image and said it was why you were hesitant. I mean, you were well above all of the minimum requirements.

Will I be able to play with this setup

500GB Western Digital Caviar Black SATA II
    XFX Radeon HD5770 1GB
    Core i5, 760
    Motherboard: MSI P55A-G55
    memory:4 GB, 2x2048MB
    Thanks!

    Windows 7 64 bit
    Intel core 2 due E6700 (2.66 GHz)
    2GB memory
    Gigabyte 945GCMX-S2
    AMD Radeon HD 6670

I have already played GW 2 betas and I had only between 15-30 fps on low-medium setting, which is really dissapointing. Any suggestions how to improve my FPS?

    Ram - 6GB DDR3 1600MHz
    Hard Drive - 1TB S-ATA II (5400 RPM)

I'd spring for the first for that small a difference in cost, bigger hard drive and superior CPU being my reasoning. I don't know the exact difference between the lower 600 series GPU's though, I just run a 680 myself.

Kinda sucks, I'm not sure if optimization needs to be added and stuff but I'm not really getting anything more than 25-30FPS with EVERYTHING lowest except for Rendering Sample set to Native and FXAA on. I'm running at 1920x1080 with these settings which I posted before:

This is with EVERYTHING ELSE OFF. I don't even have Explorer.exe running.

Also, the strange thing is that it doesn't seem to be my GFX settings which change with my FPS. I can turn settings up and down and still have the same FPS and it seems like it's most likely the CPU at fault. Does anyone have any insight into what I could possibly do to improve my FPS?

    Hello all,
I am inches away from purchasing GW2, I just need somebody's advice on whether I will be able to run it in a decent fashion.
My specs - (Windows 7 Home Premium)
    Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P7550 @ 2.26GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
    Memory: 4096MB RAM
    Available OS Memory: 3066MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M
    Dedicated Memory: 978 MB

Any advice would be appreciated, if you need further details let me know. Just for context, I am able to play Diablo 3, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Witcher 2.

    Thanks

    i7 - o/c @ 4.0 ghz, gtx 580 sli
(12 gb ram, running the game from an intel SSD, win7 x64)

I am playing at 2560x1600, which makes the game look brilliant but probably brings performance down. With everything on max, I get like 50 fps in big cities and 60 outside town, so in WvWvW that will be a problem. When that time comes I'll play with settings, but I don't expect enough of them to be CPU dependant. Note that even when I have 50 fps in big cities, my GPUs work at 60% load. So, once again, too CPU dependant, which is cleary bad as mine is already running at 4.0 ghz.

I would appreciate any tips about increasing performance, although I imagine that it will be like other MMOs and the determining factor will be CPU power when a lot of people are on the screen. We really need 6.0 ghz CPUs, intel is slacking

P.S. There might be crap sli performance, I am going to test by monitoring both CPU and GPU loads.

    Hi everyone.
I've always been a plug and play kinda guy and I've noticed alot of problems with GW2 so I'm kinda worried my PC won't run it. Could someone take their time and give me some hardcore advice?

    Processor: AMD 64 x2 Core 2 duo 2.3ghz processors = 4.6ghz
    Memory: 2048mb (2gb) can take upto 8gb
    Hard drive: 80gb
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium
    Graphics:ATI Radeon Express X1150

Now obviously this isn't the most spectacular PC you've ever seen, but with work and such I've had no time to pay attention, I'd say about £100-£150. £200 at a push is my budget to mod my PC. Obviously I need a graphics card, but which one?

So a Friend of mine Purchased Guild Wars 2 for me
I'm only concerned about 1 thing, My Graphics Card.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series

I did a run though on System Requirements Lab And this popped up

So its making be a bit unsure if it was still a good idea
For my friend to buy it for me if i cant run it or not.
    Any Ideas?

    Hey there guys!

    What about my rig:

    Processor: Intel Core i5 M460 2.53 GHz
    Memory: 4 GB DDR3
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium
    Graphics:ATI Mobility Radeon 5650 HD
    Hard drive: 450 GB

If I were to play it at 1600x900 what settings would be ok to play it smoothly? I know the GPU is the problem.

    Thanks

Daammmm, really? I got an Intel Core i5 2400 @ 3.1 ghz, Radeon HD6870 currently 4GB ram, running Win 7 64 bit. I was hoping for semi decent performance but now I don't know if I should buy it.
