Great video. These guys are really passionate about their game. And they are actually trying to innovate. I might even try playing it since I'm not going to play Mists of the Pandarehash.

good video, nice to see the passion and reactions of the devs about their own game. you really get the sense that they made a game they want to play as gamers, it just so happens to be what many of us gamers want to play as well.

Nah I already know about that one, Colin Johanson has talked about it before.

That DE is that they're trying to get food to some Charr soldiers in a fortress, and obviously the best way to do that is with a catapult. But doing that pisses off some harpies, who then attack. If you beat the harpies you get to play with the catapult.

Awesome vid, gets me excited about Guild Wars 2 for all the right reasons in how it's something very FRESH in the genre.

A cow launcher? Fuck you Arenanet! I was managing to keep my anticipation for this game at a manageable level, but now youve announced theres a cow launcher I simply cannot wait anymore!

A powerful documentary, thank-you for sharing it. I was going to say "amazing," but that wouldn't do the dev's justice. These guys love their game so much, its inspiring. They made a game -for gamers- not for profit margins; and because of that, (among many MANY other reasons) is why I think GW2 will be a success.

    Very nice video.

A little OT: I don't know if they only made it look that way but everyone working for arenanet seems to be very un-corporation-ish (my english failed me greatly here^^). People working for arenanet really seem to be in the industry because they're enthusiastic about it and make games that they would play and are original at the same time... it's pretty bold, especially in the MMO market. The next is copied from their "jobs" site:

Here are a few reasons why working at ArenaNet could be your dream job:

    - Complete creative autonomy; we make games we want to play.
    - Sustained, long-term financial backing; no “funding milestones”.
    - No suits; we are a company of passionate gamers and you can see it the moment you walk into the studio.
    - No “B” titles; we are ambitious and our games reflect it.
    - Laid-back, open air studio culture; no offices, no cubes, no halls.
    - A collaborative design environment; work shoulder to shoulder with the development leads from Guild Wars, StarCraft, Diablo and Battle.net.
    - People who work here are actually happy; if you know someone who works here, ask!
    - Strong engineering discipline; our code base is exceptionally clean, well structured, and stable.
    - No egos, no prima donnas, no rock stars; just people you respect and enjoy working with.
    - True work-life balance; we don’t just say it, we live it every day.
    - A firm goal to dominate the online gaming industry, and the expertise and resources to do it.
Not all companies give that good of a vibe...
