    [PVP] Need Jedi Guardian Help!

    I'm level 45 and love to pvp, even when we lose, which is most of the time, I still have a blast.

    However, I'm tank specced right now. When I reach 50, I'm going to respec to the best possible pvp spec I can find. Does anyone have any advice on a great spec for pvp? Further, does any one have tips for guardian pvp'ing at 50? I'll take any advice I can get.

    Use the shit out of your taunts, and guard if you use a def stance spec. I hear focus hits rather hard as well.

    To be honest it depends on what role you want to play, tank guardians do well as ball carriers/escorts in huttball, node protectors in CW, and door guards in voidstar. With taunts and guard you can pick up those defensive medals easy and be the most annoying bastard tied to warzone goal. However, if you want to see big numbers and be a sweeper for warzones focus build allows for huge aoe numbers and mobility with decent damage reduction since you sit in shi-cho form. Vigilance is a build more or less where you can provide more single target damage and harassment since you get dots and a nice buff on force charges to prevent peels. So in conclusion it's entirely up to the playstyle you want, I would suggest either decide what you like to do solo and go from there or find an pvp group and decide what niche you want to fill. From first hand experience it's fun to play focus cause of the burst and mobility I gain spec wise, however there is nothing more annoying then fighting a tank with a healer buddy guarding a node.

    Mobility is key since your def stat count for nothing against force attacks. assign key to switch from focus to target / vice verse.
    Keybind/mouse wheel to tab between friendly players or u can just #focus key# left click
    Reason is, at lvl 50 u get intercede (dunno what its called rep side). Work out how to get your intercede targets as focused targets early on cos it will save u shitloads of time when u need to move fast across the battlefield.

    Keybind guard, it can be a deathsentence if u guard the wrong target

    #edit#
    If u plan to tank in pvp, check out the 2 peice pvp dps set since it gives u a 8% heal for every intercede

    Re-spec to 'Focus' - period! I say because being Focus specced allows for the easiest acquisition of medals in warzones. Start matches in Soresu stance and place guard on someone getting hit. Leap into packs of enemy players fighting the oppostion and use you AoE taunt, followed by Enure and Saber Ward to temporarily increase your health, and to absorb the intial damage from taunting. Of course, this doesn't always go to plan, but you should be able to atleast get the 2k dmg taken medal, if not the 5k & the 10k medal in one life. Healing medals seem to come from using 'Taunt' on allies getting a pounding, though i'm not really sure on this one, but it seems to make sense, atleast to me.

    Focus is a burst damage spec that requires 'ramping up', in order to do the most damage possible. First - build up some focus (Saber throw, Leap, Sundering Strike etc.), use 'Zealous Leap' to get the temporary crit buff for your next 'Focus Sweep', and finally use either 'Force Exhaustion' or 'Force Statis' to gain the maximum of 4 stacks of singularity. Next, find either a low expertise wearing enemy and/or a group of enemies and use 'Force sweep' - so as to hit as many people as possible. This should get you a 2.5k damage done (in 1 hit) medal and aid in achieving the easily reachable 75k damage done to enemies (in one warzone game) medal.

    So, the basic idea of the Focus build is to:

    1) Build up some focus ('Saber throw', 'Force Leap' etc.).
    2) Build up singularity buff to ~4 stacks (w/ 'Force Exhaustion' / 'Force Stasis').
    3) Use 'Zealous Strike' to get the crit buff to allow ' Force Sweep' a higher chance of critting.
    4) Use the beefed up 'Force Sweep' (with ~4 stacks of singularity + the zealous strike crit multiplier buff) to inflict the best damage possible.

    Of course everything is situational, so use your head.

    {N.B: You can stay in Soresu stance the whole WZ match to do damage, however, if you only need the damage medals then you can switch to Shi-Cho form to inflict higher damage, as Soresu is only to allow you access to the 'Guard' ability + higher defense stats to get the Defender medals easier}
