Lore of GW1?

Hey everyone,

Does anybody know where I can find a well written and laid out history of the GW universe? I love reading video game lore, and I got a real kick out of reading the extensive chapters of lore on WoW on their official website. Audio, video, written, anything would be great.

GWW (GuildWarsWiki) has a lot of info but ya gotta know what you're looking for to search it, or at least start and then click the links.
Might I suggest the original Guildwars? or maybe the backdrop to the factions (search for Shiro or the Jade winds) or nightfall (search for abadon)

Yeah, the Wiki is pretty much the best place to go, if you don't want to read it though,Up until Eye of the North, Everything is because of Abbadon pretty much. The fall of Orr, Shiro Tagachi, all because of Abbadon.

Also, aside from reading, the best way to experience the lore and understand it and appreciate it would be playing through the game, following the dialogue in quests and cinematics, and paying attention. It's not as bad as it sounds, trust me.

ya... just make sure you build up a decent all perpous build of heros so you can play strait through. henchmen work in a pinch but their builds are not stelar in some areas. Otherwise you'll spend forever looking for a group and then they'll be annoyed that you dont skip cutsceans.
