Grats Washington on completely collapsing against the Cards here. Hard to think things wouldn't be different if they had their ace in the rotation to lock up a game for them. As a Tiger's fan it feels great having a guy starting games 1 and 5 that you know is going to get your team the win in almost any situation. The Nats robbed themselves of that and now they are crumbling. Hard to take credit from the Cards though. Talk about a team that turns it up for the playoffs every year. Cards and Reds is going to be a hell of a series.

I will not be satisfied unless the benches clear at least twice.

Let's all ride the Gish gallop.

ROTFMFL. A-Rod was so bad tonight that the Yankees pitch hit for him in the bottom of the 9th. Ibanez came in and hit a HR. Hi-fucking-larious. A-Rod is the worst playoff performer ever in any major sport. Coming into tonight he was hitting .034 with runners in scoring position in the playoffs in his career. 1 for 32 lol. Fucking worthless.

Yet, he carried the Yankees in 2009. Relax, bro.

Yanks need to jump out to a quick lead tomorrow and Girardi needs to have one foot on the top step with that hook ready in case Hughes shits the bed.

Giants and A's both come back from 0-2 to force game 5s. I love postseason baseball.

Sorry Sheffield, but that's not really gonna sail, did he perform in 2009 yes, but he's been monumentally SHIT this play off run so far, 1 for 12, 1 walk, 7 strikeouts does NOT belong in the top half of any lineup card I don't care who it is or what they did 3 years ago, that's not anywhere near good enough. If I'm the Yankees skipper my lineup card reads Jeter, Ichiro, Cano, Swisher, Ibanez, Teixeira, Martin, Granderson & Rodriguez - if you're gonna bat under .100 then you'll bat where that calibre of hitter bats, in the 9 hole! For the record that was a pair of clutch homers by Ibanez, in 2 at bats he's done more than Arod & well, truth be told, absolutely shamed him last night yet Ego-rod sat there, chin & nose in the air looking as arrogant as ever. I heard Girardi make a comment in yesterday's pregame defending Arod - well, simply put it's doubtful he can continue to do that much longer!

I wasn't arguing the fact that A-Rod is not even close to a shell of his former self. I was arguing the statement of "worst playoff performer ever in any major sport".. I mean, was there even any thought behind that statement? Or just pent up Yankee hatred? I'm betting on the latter.

There's that old adage of.. yeah, he's a loser, but he's our loser.

And, why would you go Ichiro/Cano? Lefty Lefty?
Either bat A-Rod 3rd or sit him. Look at his splits, he clearly plays his best at the 3.

And I don't agree with your assessment about A-Rod's attitude. It may not have been 100% genuine, but he said all the right things. And that's saying a lot, since he's always put his foot in his mouth. Give him credit for that.

The way Ichiro & Cano were swinging the bat down the stretch if I don't have any doubts over their abilities to hit righties, lefties, fastball, breaking ball, hell throw a god damn cannon up there and the way that pair were swinging down the stretch they'd hit the cannon ball. Cano so far in the ALDS is 1-4 against lefties, 1-8 against righties, Ichiro is the same average against both lefties & righties - over the last 5 years neither have had many issues with lefties, all it means is that your specialist comes in for two on the bounce. The only thing stopping Girardi dropping him to the lower third in the lineup is the fact Arod WILL bitch about it, we all saw the shit Torre took when he put him in the lower third of the order, Girardi knows that doing so will win support from the stands but he's good as screwed with the player.

As for his attitude, did he say the right things, yes, but that had all the sincerity of the kid in the playground who kicks the crap out another kid being told to say sorry which is always the problem with Arod, he's not a dumbass, he knows how to say the right stuff, but lets be fair, anyone can do that, meaning it on the other hand, is the tricky part!

My Giants are looking pretty good right now. I was jumping like a schoolgirl after Buster Posey hit that grand slam during the 5th! Should be Cain's last inning and I'm hoping for another appearance from Timmy.

I am phenomenally disappointed by the Reds right now.

Yankees lineup is out and what do you know.. he dropped A-Rod.. but still split his L-R-L-R

    Derek Jeter DH
    Ichiro Suzuki LF
    Mark Teixeira 1B
    Robinson Cano 2B
    Alex Rodriguez 3B
    Nick Swisher RF
    Russell Martin C
    Curtis Granderson CF
    Jayson Nix SS

Joe Girardi's father died today, something tells me Alex Rodriguez is a minor insignificance to him at this time, thoughts go out to the guy.

Unless you're a soft-tossing knuckleballer, you're not going to see 4+ innings one day followed by any mound work the next.

Latos is a douchebag and it's fitting that he gave up a GS against the Giants.

I have an entire kitchen full of crow to feed to everyone who counted the Giants out in the Reds series. Especially the T(errible)BS commentators that had hard-ons for the Reds the entire series.

I was worried but the Giants have had a much better offense on the road all year and I didn't expect that to change while playing at GABP.

Next up, the Cards will finish off the Nats.

It would be funny to see the Giants, and Orioles in the World Series, because both have Halloween colors.
