Telemarketers are CONSTANTLY calling my cell phone?

This is REALLY starting to get on my nerves. This morning I was woken up at 8am by a telemarketer calling my cell phone, and within the next hour or two I got at least five more calls.

How am I supposed to prevent this? Is there a "DO NOT CALL" list I can sign up for or something? This is just starting to get ridiculous. And it seems like I get most of them at around 8am-10am every morning.

Yeah, I have been a lot of calls lately.

It's pretty tough to troll a pre-recorded message.

    I'm still thinking about it...

Do you sign up for a lot of free stuff? My girlfriend is obsessed with doing that and she gets calls all of the time. It got so bad that she's started to give them fake cell phone numbers when she signs up.

Troll them hard, or try and get to know the actual person talking to you. Or both!

    Brighten their dull day!

As said, troll them hard, i go with:

They ask you if you're interested in a product

I say yes, can you give me some details?

They then start chatting away at you with figures, it's at this point that i walk off & do something else, whilst they are still on the phone

The video above is genius though, gonna try that next time!

If you get a person (as opposed to a voice-bot), just ask them to hold and put them on hold until they figure it out.

Just wait until the debt collectors get your number thinking that you're someone else.

I've spent three years now trying to get them to realize that I am not David Miles. Shouted at their rep once I was so pissed by the constant calls.

    And they're STILL calling me.

Same here. I apparently inherited the cell # of some guy who was in lots of CC debt. It's taken me years for the calls to subside, and to this day I'll still get the occasional call.

    - The video was epic! You could either do that or: what are you wearing? Works véry well when another man is on the phone. Scares them right off.
    - Or you can act like you're completely interested, then they are very exited that they convinced someone, you talk and talk and talk for minutes until ... "lol sorry, I wasn't even interested from the beginning. Bai!"

I have gotten at least six more since I made this thread. A lot of them seem to be for loans and trying to get me to sign up for credit cards. But the thing is, they are pretty much all automated so I can't troll them or tell them to fuck off or anything like that.

You call the company back and tell them to take you off their call list. They're legally required to.

when you do get someone real, start doing this!
"what are you wearing...(creepy voice is important)?"
    answer here. doesn't matter what.
"ughhhh ohh yeaa.... *fap fap noices should start here* tell me more please!"
now you can see where this is going so just go at it your self eventually the automated calls could stop if you just hang up asap cus they're not getting anything or they'll make real humans call you (then do the above thing)

I've been there aswell. i just told them to get the fuck off, and if they ever called me again, i would personally get there number adressed and come.
They have never called me again. ~2 weeks ago.

turn on porn in the background or put on something with a lot of screaming, and hold a conversation.

Google "do not call list", and the first link is the government registry.

Phone calls suck. Text messages are worse. I can't believe they'd stoop that low, but I get spam texts all the freaking time.
