Make a group full of the best PvPers as our assault/assassination squad and have War Lords tell what we need and where to strike them for the best possible reaction :P Have assault, assassination, wall (defensive minded) and ranger, have warriors/guardians with shields be the bulk and have range people in the back doing AoE or sniping one off at a time while the zerg focuses on the people in front.

back up when we need it and have assault come in from the side for a cavalry charge, our thieves/mesmers coming in as ambushes.

Love the idea of having an officer for every class and race, 13 in total .

Every class, sure why not. Race? Probably not. And probably not officers, but something maybe of a commander of the class. Who knows.

Well the funny thing is that any profession can do any job. So if you decide to have officers for that sort of thing, it wouldn't be by class, but by... I guess their role in PvP content or something.

An Elementalist specializing in Earth, using the right weapon, and with the proper traits would make for a good front-line soldier just as much as a Guardian with a Shield.
So, with that in mind, I highly doubt there's much sense in trying to group people apart like that. If we were to organize the guild's WvW efforts, I'd prefer to set up small squads to work together as a unit for various objectives, and being responsible for their own tactics.

This is where I got my Idea of Assault, Guard, Assassination, and Range commands.

Assault would be mainly close combat assailants, Guard would be anyone who really has a defensive type combat (ie Earth Ele's, Shield Guardians/Warriors), Assassination would be Mesmers, Thieves and then the range capable force.

The division by profession idea was mainly for aesthetic reasons, not by efficiency of each class.

While a necromancer and say a Guardian may have the same capability as melee or ranged, that doesn't necessarily mean they have the same aesthetic taste

Many things that would make it hard for him to make such a guild. He has a entire goal in mind for that guild, which is level 60 content. Not many people are going to be interested most likely, as it makes a wall for many. Our guild's main point is that it's a social guild, not PvP or PvE. Of course we will be doing so, but it's not about that. It's a guild that like minded people of just... talking and interacting in this huge world we have can come together and enjoy it. The server and guild system is HUGELY flexible (can switch servers when ever we want, join as many guilds as we want, as well that all alts can be seen and talk to inside it). He's going to have trouble, and most likely not a lot of interest as the capabilities of wow are limited.
