Is it normal that my ping on wow rises when my brother is playing this game?
    Does he consume much bandwith?

Wow, have not seen any new reveals since yesterday. Could the bucket of SimCity popcorn finally be almost empty?

I haven't played in like a week, so that's why I haven't been posting. Not much else to post about other than more bitching about the lack of AI.

Well Kotaku made a recap so I guess it really is starting to wind down.

From everything we know, no. It only has minimal communication with EA/Maxis servers, so it shouldn't eat up any more bandwith than playing WoW (less actually) or casually browsing the internet.

I cant believe they lied so hard, got busted, and didnt even address the facts.

Ohhhh well, I wont lie, Im having fun playing with my friends still. We dont play as much as we did last week, but were still building cities and chatting all night, so Its not as bad as people are making it out to be.

I hope this is the final nail in EAs coffin, I hope Activision follows. *fingers crossed*

I'm not sure why they bother to lie in the first place anymore. This isn't the eighties, or even nineties somewhat, when software was some mysterious thing that few understood. We'll see that you are lying and it makes any of your other claims inherently dubious. Lucy should go ask Brad McQuaid about how well losing all your credibility works out for you.

Also it looks like some folks have managed an exchange instead of refund too.

Well, only small percentage of gamers, and even smaller percentage of EA's target audience, cares about this whole issue and whether EA lies or not. They just buy the game and that's it.
I have enough of EA ruining great franchises and studios, forcing DRM and Origin on their games, releasing incomplete games only to sell day-1 DLCs or spill dozens of DLCs, and then saying it, and microtransactions, is what players want, stopping players from giving EA games poor reviews, as well as deflecting complaints with cheap PR tricks.

I'm not going to buy any game by EA as long as they continue those practices.

Apparently pretty well, because not only does he still have tons of fans, but he got brought back to work on Vanguard and now is back on EQ1.

I heard they brought him back for Vanguard but I figured that was out of pity since he couldn't get anything else. But they let him back into EQ1 too?

Even though this seems to be one of my riskier threads, since everything you say can and will be used against you even if it's not against forum rules, I'll just leave the above link there, because Jim nails it again.
