    Race / Profession combos.

What race / profession combos make the most sense to you? Which are the most absurd?

For example a Sylvari necromancer would seem weird to me. But a charr engineer fits the best in my opinion.

    Most absurd: Sylvari engineer
    Most sense: Charr warrior

    Sylvari necromancer
    Spoiled salad doesn't make sense?

I don't think asura guardians make sense.

Asura eng makes the most sense.

Best: Norn seemed suited to Warrior and Ranger professions. /easy I also see Asura as natural Engineers like the Charr.
Odd: Charr Guardian. The spiritualism side seems weird for them.

Well, they're plants which to me symbolize life, and necromancers are all about death. I dunno. :P

While reading about this, I discovered Caithe was a lesbian. Who knew plants could find love.

Well, death is often a process of rebirth in nature. So perhaps it's not too off for a Sylvari to train in death magic. The real contradiction I see is that Necromancy inherently deals with the undead- which would be an abomination to the natural world.

Caithe isn't specifically a lesbian. Sylvari culture is adapting feelings towards someone you connect to regardless of sex.

    So they are bisexuals.

    Every single Sylvari is bisexual?

    Interesting.

I'm surprised they even "love", since they don't... you know, reproduce.

They have all the necessary parts, they're just infertile.

Humans have sex not only to reproduce, but as a representation of emotion for one another, or just to have fun. Take your pick.

The entire romance thing comes from the fact that they need to have sex to reproduce, and the hormones and all that associated with it.

I can understand the whole strong connection thing, like a very good friend. But not a romance. =P

And I seem to specialize in derailing threads. lol.

    Best: Asura Engineer
    Odd: Asura Warrior

Sylvari are very inquisitive case. So I wouldn't say it's that Sylvari (Like Humans) would keep an open mind, when choosing a profession.

You're taking the plant thing too literal.

"Death as well is still not fully understood, but it is viewed as something to be embraced and wholly understood - this creates an acceptance and fascination of death which the other races can find disturbing." Taken from GW2 wiki on the Sylvari page. This is probably why some sylvari become necros. As for me, I hate the idea of asura warriors. Tiny and feeble creatures shouldn't be able to ground pound the earth.
