Mages vs. Old Content - What can we solo

Copying from the rogue forums, I would like to see how much my fellow mages have actually managed to solo of old content, seeing as we have very little to no self healing (evo), and no pet to tank for us (unless we want to hit the enrage timer, and we can only heal our pet by dealing dmg, which would out-tps the pet mostly).

Anyway, here goes (ill start the list with what I have personally soloed so far, and then update it with what other people have done)

Also note that the list doesn't include HC's, but only raid content.

I've only dabbled with ZA/MC/Kara, but got fed up with kara after the magic immune wyrms killed me, though the bosses themselves weren't an issue.


I was surprised how easy Zul'aman was as a fire mage, the bear trash was the hardest thing about the whole instance.

Isn't razorgore suppose to be impossible to solo? Anything's possible with exploits I guess.

If you keep a flame caster with you all the time and just poly-spellsteal, you have like a 300% cast speed buff, meaning you kill bosses in about 15-20 seconds

I've tried sunwell and the trash roflstomps you - often before you can even kill one.

Of course, I was drunk that night, but I remember how ungodly horribly evil that trash was at-level

Kara is pretty easy if you just avoid pulling the melee-only wyrms. It was a hell of a lot of fun downing bosses in 10-20 seconds

Need goblinrocketjump tho, tried with both Nitrobelt and the crafted rocketboots, neither will get you up there.

Only tried MH once, the boss Frosttomb combined with DnD (ticks @ %hp) will kill you unless you got some major luck/LoS strat. The trash however wasnt any problem

Spec fire and kite em around, pulling all npcs with you and you should be fine

Wasn't it possible to blink out of the frost tomb? It's been a while since I've been there so I don't exactly know how often he does it, but it should at least help a lot. (+insignia works for sure)

Aye you're able to blink out of it, but sadly the blink CD won't be ready for the second block.

Pretty sure Razorgore cannot be solo'd. Other than that, everything else seems reasonable.
