First rule of backing up is to always try to restore the backup.

At work our servers do a daily backup and once a week we restore them to a local test site to ensure the failsafe works. Actually had to do a full restore earlier this week due to some files being corrupted.

was reading a post on reddit about how WPA2-Enterprise can be cracked if they are using MSCHAPv2

and all that was happening in the comments was 1 guy getting upvoted for saying a 20 digit password makes you safe, and every post by someone with infosec/ceh knowledge getting downvoted to hell (most of them were discussing that WPA/2-PSK has been cracked for a while)

i think people are just too scared to admit that their wifi is not truly safe

hmm, sometimes i think there should be test to let people on the internet, that or i just don't like being downvoted

Which is why I'm heavily against communities that sort comments/thread from votes.
What people want to be true and what they want to read is not always what is true and what is important.

Man this is some freaky shit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vSYf...&feature=g-u-u

It's amazing how some simple things can surprise. I mean, we have the technology and it's become affordable for general use, why not do something fun with it.

Seriously, how cool is that? I'm just mind blown. The fact that it's not some new fancy concept made by chinese but an actual product that anyone can buy . Can you imagine having things like this when you were a kid?

You keep those open at all times o_o?

How weird.. I only have a few open and keep sort of replacing those as I go, am I living in the past?

  14. #1314
Nope, Deltrus is just weird like that

I usually just have one or two open depending on what I'm looking up and close the ones I'm not looking at actively.

It just struck me, that with Haswell coming Q2 '13, 1155 will have had an extremely short lifespan.
    Curious.

  17. #1317
It will have had a good two years. At least it got more use than 2011, which had 3 processors released in its lifetime, of which only one was really worth getting (discounting the xeon server stuff which, as far as I know, is incompatible with the "normal" 2011 motherboards and cpus).

Currently using 2.53GB RAM out of my 8GB :/

I think I have managed to get above 4GB once, when I had WoW, D3 and MoP beta open while running something like 15 or 20 firefox tabs.

I was using 8.75GB used the other day when I had about 42 Chrome tabs open, Rift, and then other miscellaneous small programs, as well, Skype, Steam, etc.

When I open up VMWare Workstation 8.0.2 though and fire up Linux or Windows XP, or both for that matter, the memory used skyrockets.
