But I wasn't talking about the engines. I was talking about the car.

Well this isn't good. My computer doesn't boot up to bios and hangs on the pci bus enumeration post code. I have tried taking out all my pci things, usb, clearing cmos, ram(leaving one in) and disconnecting hard drives and... Nothing. Still stays on Asrock pci bus enumeration. I am starting to think either the cpu or motherboard is dead. Last thing I can try is a new cmos battery or changing out my power supply(which I think is fine).

Oh, then I guess I can see it. I don't really see a huge issue with it personally since most are non essential anyways.

Yeah looks like I need to buy a new motherboard.... But is buying a motherboard for a 2500k really even worth it? I might try to just get a new cpu while I am at it. But then I need to get new ram.... This sucks, I don't have a lot of money right now.

Yes, that's basically what it is!

I love how your first sentence sounded very doom and gloom haha

Have fun with the bizarre shit you'll encounter.
My friend was an RN and RNA, there are some stuff that you just can't make up.

Have read your post, I would be interested, what you mean by RN & RNA?

Sorry, I'm not so familiar with all the shortcuts.

@Remilia Andrei is back at Anandtech and he has already written some very interesting articles, looks like we'll finally have a decent coverage of mobile ARM SoCs again!

Registered Nurse indeed and Restorative Nurse Assistant. (Not sure what RNA is all about now, I have to do some reading, but it sounds like it's sort of a CNA promotion.)

Yeah I saw. Though some of his new graphs are confusing. Probably would work better with a double y axis graph.

It's basically a CNA with a bit more.

    Sounds like my parents.

So... any alternatives or whatever. Currently thinking.
    Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid
    $33,400 base.
    -$7,500 tax credit
    -$5,000 state rebate (California).
    Making it $20,900

vs comparable cars in that price range either with or without the tax credits / rebates.
Going for relatively clean / practical car.

I'm sure you've already look at the obvious alternatives like a regular Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla, and hybrid/electric options like the Toyota Prius and found them lacking. There isn't much to compete here, especially if you want a mid-sized sedan that'll hold full size adults in the back.
Yeah, looked at the obvious Civic / Corolla. Current is an old Civic anyways, so going from Civic to Civic wouldn't be weird.
We should be able to get the full tax credit and at least the rebate is static.
I'm sort of in the market for a new car too and I'm about to be out of stock lock-out so I could even act on it assuming everything doesn't go to hell after our next SEC filing (which it probably will, that always happens for every company)

On the one hand, I don't really like cars that much and that's a lot of money to spend. On the other hand, I do want to keep sitting at the cool kids table at lunch time. More seriously, I kinda feel like I might be getting a bit old for sport bikes and the Porsche club at work is at the racetrack every other weekend so I'd still have friends to hang out with. Good condition 993s sell for about the same as a new 911 but I suspect the older car will hang on to its value a lot better. For something you only drive a few times a month I think being 'old school' might be a good thing.
Not a huge car person either, my knowledge on cars is limited to when I need to look for one or my cousin who absolutely loves cars.
I just want something functional and fuel economical. Generally speaking don't really like driving to begin with.

Also I'll just go to the nerd corner during lunch, lol.
